Tijdens deze tour leer je over het vroege leven en werk van Picasso, want voor hem was Barcelona de plaats "waar alles begon". Na een geleid bezoek aan het Picasso Museum gaan we verder met onze wandeling door de wijk El Borne, een perfecte plek om de smaak van het oude Barcelona te voelen. Naast de achtergronden van Picasso, ga je dieper in op de rijke en complexe geschiedenis van de stad terwijl je door dezelfde straten loopt waar de jonge kunstenaar inspiratie opdeed voor zijn eerste professionele schilderijen, die kort daarna voor altijd de regels van de kunstgeschiedenis zullen overtreden. Het Picasso Museum van Barcelona staat bekend om de vroege werken van kunstenaars, geselecteerde schilderijen uit verschillende periodes en een speciale collectie van Las Meninas, geïnspireerd door Velazquez's meesterlijke vrede.
De wijk El Borne verbergt vele schatten tussen kunstgalerijen en designerwerkplaatsen, de majestueuze Sta.Maria del Mar-kerk en de archeologische vindplaats in El Borne, daterend uit 1714, een zeer belangrijk jaar in de lokale geschiedenis.
Santa Maria del Mar, bekend van de bestseller-roman "Cathedral of the Sea", is een verbazingwekkende gotische basiliek midden in het drukke commerciële district El Born.
Korte stop bij de arqueologische site van het verwoeste deel van Barcelona in 1714, na de Spaanse Successieoorlog.

Museum is great except the guide did not plan it well. We spend extra one hour in museum. Also we were told we will be picked up from hotel. But the day before we were told come to palace on our own. On positive side guide was knowledgeable.

My family really enjoyed the tour of the Picasso Museum and walk in El Born district and my two teenage daughters are hard to please. We found it fascinating to see how Picasso's work evolved from the classic style to his signature Cubist style for which he is known for.
