Phong Nha Cave en Paradise Cave zijn de twee beroemdste grotten in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, dat in 2003 op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO stond vanwege zijn geologische waarden. Met een lengte van 7.729 m wordt de Phong Nha-grot beschouwd als een van 's werelds langste natte grotten, terwijl Paradise de langste droge grot is (31 km). Beiden hebben een speciale attractie gecreëerd voor het "Koninkrijk van de grotten", Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. Onze Gids en het voertuig halen u op bij uw hotels in Dong Hoi centrale gebied of locaties op weg naar Phong Nha en vertrekken vervolgens naar Phong Nha National Park. Aankomst in Phong Nha en dan begint de groep aan een bezoek aan Paradise Cave - de langste droge grot in Azië. Omgeven door beboste karsttoppen strekt dit duizelingwekkende grottenstelsel zich uit over 31km, hoewel de meeste mensen alleen de eerste kilometer bezoeken. De schaal is adembenemend, omdat houten trappen zich storten in een kathedraalachtige ruimte met uitgestrekte buitenaards ogende stalagmieten en stalactieten. Kom hier vroeg om de drukte te verslaan, zoals tijdens piektijden (vroeg in de middag) gidsen herdersgroepen met behulp van megafoons. Paradise Cave ligt ongeveer 14 km ten zuidwesten van Son Trach. Vanaf de buggy drop-off is het nog eens 600m-plus zweterige klim naar de ingang van de grot. Om diep in de grot voorbij de barrière aan het einde te verkennen en met geluk de oogloze grotvissen te zien die deel uitmaken van zijn ecosysteem
Geniet om 12.30 uur van een lunch in een lokaal restaurant in het dorp Phong Nha.
Na de lunch vervolgt de groep de reis om de meest indrukwekkende Phong Nha-grot te verkennen. Je neemt een boot om ongeveer 25 minuten op de Son-rivier te varen naar de Phong Nha-grot. Terwijl je op de boot zit, zie je het groene veld, mensen, huizen en kalksteen langs de rivier. Kom aan in Phong Nha en begin met bezoeken, deze grot is een watergrot die beroemd is om zijn rotsformatie die namen heeft gekregen zoals de "Leeuw", de "Fairy Caves", het "Royal Court" en de "Buddha. Als de boten de grotten bereiken, gaan ze in de rij staan en gaan er slechts één of twee tegelijk binnen. Motoren vallen uit en de machinisten slepen ze met lange palen voort en speren ze langzaam en methodisch in het troebele water. Eenmaal voorbij de ingang gaat de immense grot open. Gigantische kroonluchters van druipsteen hangen aan het plafond. Zonder te porren of te vragen valt iedereen stil terwijl de ogen omhoog staren en de grootsheid van de stenen kathedraal naar buiten komt. Het is een spectaculair gezicht.
Keer terug naar het voertuig om Phong Nha te verlaten. De groep gaat terug naar Dong Hoi om te worden afgezet bij uw hotels/plaatsen. De tocht zal rond 17.30 uur eindigen

Loved so much the paradise cave but because we were in high water level season the cave with the boat became a walking tour instead and wasn't what we were hoping for. The lunch is great a bunch of shareable items for a table of 8. They were great to make vegetarian food options if needed and was a crowd pleaser. It was a long day make sure to wear really.comfy shoes and be prepared to sit uncomfortably in the boat to the last cave for 30 minutes... but highly recommend doing!
Andy was our tour guide and he was very informative, entertaining, knowledgeable and fun. We did the March morning tour and avoided the masses - best time to go so we could enjoy the serenity and magnificence of these amazing natural caves. Definitely rely recommend the tour
The places were amazing but unfortunately the tour was not advertised properly. Starting from the title (it is not a small group tour since we were on a. If bus with more than 20ppl). The tour description said not more than 15 ppl and it wasn’t like that. Some of the pictures included in the tour description were part of another adventure tour the tour operator organizes but it is not the one you will book.
This tour was great value for money, had an entertaining guide and showed us all some of the more remarkable things we’ve ever seen. The caves are stunning. The immensity of the Paradise cave complex has to be seen to be believed; seeing the Phong Nha caves by boat was also incredible. I’m so glad we did this.
The pick-up at the hotel was on time. Afterwards we took the mini-bus to the national park, including detailed and interesting information from our guide Chocolate. We had enough time to visit Paradise Cave and enjoy the atmosphere there. The stalactite cave is beautiful! Lunch was very delicious! For us there were also many vegetarian options. Phong Nha Cave in the afternoon was a bit of a disappointment. We were informed in short that we were not going in on the dragon boat - as described in the tour description. We explored the cave on the short walk. We were disappointed. You can expect more for the price, especially transparency in advance. We had to take a boat to the cave entrance itself. When disembarking, our guide asked us to give a tip as the boaters did not have much. We found this request very questionable, above all it would be the tour operator's job to pay the boaters decently, so they do not depend on tip! With such a tour price you could expect that everyone involved will be paid decently!
The caves were impressive but we were unable to take the boat into Phong Nha cave due to the high water level, which we weren’t told about until the cave entrance. The pictures used to advertise the tour are not representative of the actual caves, in order to see the skylight openings in the paradise cave you need to do a separate full day hiking tour. The tour was also advertised as max 15 people but we were on a coach in a group of 26. Overall it was an ok but expensive way to see the caves, we wish we had just gone to the caves ourselves and bought entrance fees at gates.
The Paradise caves were awesome. Thirty minutes each way of stunning rock formations and the sheer scale was incredible.
This was one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Breathtaking views with an incredibly friendly tour guide! We also got a very delicious lunch along the way! I would recommend this trip to anyone going to Vietnam and definitely made the trip to Dong Hoi well worth it!
Both caves are amazing and worth the time to experience the wonders of both caves, Guides have good knowledge of the cave system in this area
