Phi Phi Island Big Boat Tour – snorkelen, stranden en schilderachtige uitzichten

The snorkelling at the long beach was beautiful. The beach itself was worth the travel. The buffet lunch was delicious and all halal! The views from the big boat were beautiful. If you are a small family travelling with a family then this is the best way.

One of my favorite excursions I’ve ever been on in all my travels. Great way to see Phi Phi / Phi Phi Don beach without the crowds. Started on a very large ferry; about 1.5-2 hours to Phi Phi Islands. Cruised around that for awhile (pic #1); we saw some little coves, packed with boats and tourists, swimmers & snorkelers. Large ferry took us near a beautiful, more secluded area of Phi Phi Don, where a small group of us switched to a smaller boat (the classic Thai boats you see in many pictures, pic #2). Had free time on beach area. Used small boat to snorkel (if you wanted to, could otherwise walk around or swim on beach) for about 30-45 mins. Only 3 of us snorkeled! So the staff made it more personal and intimate, definitely not the packed crowds we saw elsewhere. Was nice to spend 1:1 time in a small group, with staff, who told us about tourism, the fish, etc. Returned to Long Beach for a home cooked buffet. The small boat returned us to a busy pier, where we saw packed, busy Phi Phi briefly; I was glad to avoid that. Returned via original big ferry boat to Rassada Pier, again about 1.5-2 hours. Note: I gathered the specific locations you go to change based on high and low season. I was glad to avoid the packed coves, though this is what some pics in other reviews show. It appeared you could pay additional for a different small boat to take you/your travel partner back out there during beach/snorkel period. I am unsure if it is the same company who does each trip, but our staff (Andaman Wave and the crew we met up with at Long Beach) made the trip incredibly cool.

To do absolutely, the beauty of the place and the scenery is total, we better understand why filmmakers come here

My friend and I booked this tour last minute and enjoyed ourselves. We were staying at Rawai Beach so we had to pay extra for hotel pickup. We then took a large boat where we were seated on the interior an hour and a half to phi phi islands then got on a slightly smaller boat (but still double decker) to view the islands from the roof. We then spent 3 hours on a beach snorkeling and having lunch then headed back. The scenery was beautiful but we didn’t see the iconic island that I thought we were going to. Overall a good tour but ends at 2pm which could be a bit early for some. The buffet was delicious and included a salad and fruit bar, rice, vegetable curries, cooked vegetables, chicken, pasta and tomato sauce, rolls, water, tea and coffee.

Not only was this trip affordable but it really was an amazing experience. We were picked up from our hotel and taken straight to the harbour. The boat was spacious and very well air conditioned. The islands were amazing and we got to enjoy a couple of hours in the beach. All in all it was a great way to spend the day.

My first disclaimer: if you're going to the area, you have to visit the Phi Phi Islands, even if it isn't through this company. Second disclaimer: DO NOT buy tickets ahead online. I was staying in Phuket's Patong beach, and there are a ton of tour vendors along the beach. I ended up paying $30 USD for this tour versus the $75 listed on their website. Haggle once you get there. This tour was great! I was picked up from my hotel around 7:45 am in Patong Beach and driven to the port. I boarded the boat with my fellow passengers after our safety briefing and we sailed out to the islands. We got the chance to snorkel (snorkel included, fins extra--we were in a small enough area I did not need/want fins), have lunch in the Phi Phi's + some beach time, saw monkeys, and enjoyed the day. The lunch was delicious and there were plenty of options. We were returned to our hotels by around 6 pm the same way we came. Overall it was a great experience with engaging guides and beautiful scenery. Don't miss it!

The whole trip was very nice and thrilling, they took us by cruise, the experience was wonderful. They served refreshments in the cruise and we were moving around the cruise freely and enjoyed the sailing while viewing the sea and the mountains, which can not be explained in words and one has to experience it. The lunch served was good, above all the hospitality overall was really remarkable. The island and the beach was so beautiful and enjoyable that no tourist can afford to miss this.

Everything appeared Chaotic at first. We changed boats three times going and three times coming. But somehow everyone ended up in the right place at the right time. The captain provided extensive instructions in Thai and English. However as a native English speaker it was almost entirely unintelligible. My stress level peaked! But it all worked out. Really enjoyed the day and got some great photos.

It was a great trip. Phi Phi Island Is magical. Food was good. Just wish we had more time on the beach.

This trip included lunch for our group and swimming / snorkeling at a couple beaches. The boat crew was very professional and obviously careful for our safety while on the water. If you have a water-proof camera, bring it for some pretty good snorkeling photo opportunities. And you will NOT be the only boat on the water!
