U passeert de majestueuze woestijn van Wadi Rum en het Sharah-gebergte en brengt u in ongeveer 2 uur naar de rozerode rotsstad Petra, een must-see in het Midden-Oosten. De legendarische hoofdstad van de Nabatean staat bekend om zijn grootsheid en prachtige architectuur, en je hebt de kans om er vandaag een deel van te zien. Bij aankomst in het bezoekerscentrum begint u met uw rondleiding naar de Siq, een smalle kloof, totdat u de prachtige schatkamer, Al Khazneh, het beroemdste monument van Petra, bereikt. Ga vanaf hier verder langs de straat met gevels en als de tijd het toelaat naar de koninklijke graven.

In de ochtend ontmoet onze vertegenwoordiger u met een bewegwijzering op uw naam buiten de voorkant van uw schip. U passeert de majestueuze Wadi Rum-woestijn en het Sharah-gebergte en brengt u ongeveer 2 uur rechtstreeks naar de rozerode rotsstad Petra, een must-see in het Midden-Oosten. De legendarische hoofdstad van de Nabateeër is beroemd om zijn grandeur en prachtige architectuur, en je hebt de mogelijkheid om er vandaag een deel van te zien. Bij aankomst in het bezoekerscentrum begin je met je rondleiding naar de Siq, een smalle kloof, totdat je de prachtige Schatkist, Al Khazneh, het beroemdste monument van Petra, bereikt. Volg vanaf hier de Straat van Gevels en als de tijd het toelaat naar de Royal Tombs. Loop zelf terug naar het bezoekerscentrum. Na een lunchbuffet in een restaurant keert u terug naar het cruiseschip in Aqaba met de herinneringen aan een spannende dag.

Extremely well organised tour, conducted by a private driver/organiser who was very gentle with our 3 yo old twin. His suggestion of having a jeep ride to wadi rum was very much appreciated. After the beautiful but very touristic visit to Petra, the drive through the desert and visiting places we didn’t realise that they existed, realy topped it off
We recently did a day long shore excursion from Aqaba to Petra and then Wadi Rum. Our driver, Mr. Mohammed Hammad, was exceptional! Our ship arrived two hours late but he was still there waiting our arrival. He took some shortcuts on the way to Petra to save time and get us ahead of all the big bus tours. Once at Petra he introduced us to our local guide and we then spent about 4 hours exploring the impressive Petra. Mohammed had given us a phone so we could contact him when we were ready to be picked up which worked out very well. He also picked up lunch that we ate in the car to he make up some of the time we had lost due to our ship being late. We got to Wadi Rum in time for some touring and sunset. It was a magical day and Jordan Horizons and Mr. Mohammed made it all possible. Who highly recommend both of them!

Our cruise was cancelled due to coronovirus. So we had to cancel our tour to Petra. Just wanted to mention how professional the communication with this company has been since our initial inquiry about the tour. Look forward to visiting Jordan and Petra when we can reschedule the cruise and re book our tour with JHT.
