Ontdek twee van Jordaniës opmerkelijke pareltjes: het prachtige Wereldwonder Petra en het prachtige woestijnlandschap van Wadi Rum. Ga naar Petra, een adembenemend UNESCO-werelderfgoed dat beroemd is om zijn prachtig uitgesneden ruïnes die schitteren in levendige tinten rood, wit en roze zandsteen. Deze ongelooflijke plaats werd gesticht rond de 6e eeuw voor Christus door de Nabateeërs, een nomadische stam die van deze betoverende regio hun thuis maakte. U zult genieten van het verkennen van attracties zoals Al-Siq, de Schatkamer, de Straat der Gevels, de Koninklijke Tombes en het Kasteel van de Farao – allemaal wachten ze op u om ontdekt te worden! Later op de dag gaat u richting Wadi Rum, toepasselijk de Vallei van de Maan genoemd. Dit beschermde gebied is beroemd om zijn adembenemende woestijnwoestijn, met torenhoge bergen van zandsteen en graniet die dramatisch uit het landschap oprijzen. Maak uw reis compleet door terug te keren naar Amman, waar u kunt kijken naar de sterrenhemel boven de betoverende woestijnlandschappen van Jordanië.

Ervaar een volledige dag Petra tour vanaf Amman. Je chauffeur haalt je op bij je hotel in Amman en begint dan aan de rit richting Petra. Onze Engelstalige chauffeur brengt u via de Desert Highway naar Petra. De reis naar Petra duurt maar liefst drie uur, afhankelijk van de heersende wegomstandigheden, en omvat één geplande stop langs de route.
Bij het bereiken van het bezoekerscentrum in Petra zal uw chauffeur u helpen bij het kopen van tickets. Als je meer wilt weten over de architectuur en geschiedenis van het gebied, kan een lokale gids voor je zorgen. (Optioneel)
Deze buitengewone UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie behoort tot de meest gewaardeerde schatten van Jordanië. Begin uw ontdekkingstocht door de adembenemende, smalle doorgang bekend als Al-Siq, die dient als hoofdingang van de oude stad Petra. Bij aankomst neemt u de prachtige schatkamer van Al-Khazneh in u op, een opmerkelijk bouwwerk uitgehouwen in de rotswand van de berg, verfraaid met prachtige Korinthische kapitelen, friezen en sculpturen. Na een lunchpauze (optioneel) in Petra vervolgt u uw reis naar andere gerenommeerde locaties, zoals het klooster, het altaar van het offer, de straat met gevels, de koninklijke graven en het Romeinse theater.
Na afloop van de tour komt u met uw chauffeur samen op dezelfde locatie waar u bent afgezet (Visitor Center). Vervolgens bereidt u zich voor op de reis naar Wadi Rum, die naar verwachting ongeveer twee uur zal duren.
Bij aankomst op de site wordt uw 4x4 safarivoertuig klaargezet voor het 2 uur durende avontuur, begeleid door een lokale safarichauffeur gedurende de rit. Ontdek bezienswaardigheden zoals de Nabataean Temple, de Wadi Rum Map, de Little Bridge en de Red Sand Dune. Je hebt ook de mogelijkheid om een kameeltocht door de woestijn te maken (op eigen kosten). Bezoek een bedoeïenenkamp waar u kunt genieten van Arabische thee of koffie terwijl u communiceert met de lokale bevolking. Sluit uw ervaring af door getuige te zijn van een prachtige zonsondergang over de gladde woestijnvlakten.
Na afloop van de tour brengt de chauffeur u terug naar Amman of Amman International Airport.

Absolutely wonderful tour visiting Petra and Wadi Rum with Khalid Najjar. First of all, we can not thank him enough for his kindness and hospitality––ensuring that we were comfortable and happy with our tour. He made a few extra special stops with gorgeous views of Wadi Mousa (Petra). He was an amazing tour guide and ensured our safety with each stretch of drive. I will absolute be looking for him upon my return to Jordan with more family members. Our trip also included the 4x4 open-back truck ride across Wadi Rum, an amazing private guide at Petra, and an absolutely delicious lunch with Khalid where we feasted on Mansaf and Knafeh (the Knafeh was a special treat for my mother's celebration of her birthday). Abed the driver was great - very smooth trip and was very comfortable. Great tour guides in Petra and Wadi rum … tickets and booking was not very clear as it said when we booked that all entries were included (as we booked the all inclusive one which was $955 aus for the 2 of us) yet we were told wadi rum entry was not included, so our driver very kindly still got us the entry tickets as we had thought they were apart of the tour. Also lunch was not included which we were slightly surprised due to the price of the tour, but altogether very much still enjoyed our time and seeing these incredible places.

It was a wonderful way to begin discovering Jordan with this tour. Petra was truly spectacular, offering many beautiful spots beyond the famous wonder itself. From the moment we were picked up at the hotel, everything was perfectly organized. Our driver, Bardaghawi, was punctual, friendly and made our trip very comfortable. The guides who accompanied us at Petra and Wadi Rum were exceptional: attentive, knowledgeable and always willing to answer questions or help us make the most of the experience. Petra is impressive, but touring Wadi Rum in 4x4 was the perfect day’s golden pin. Petra was an amazing experience! Everything is so mesmerising, a must visit in Jordan. Wadi Rum was a beautiful adventure in the desert finished with a beautiful sunset. Our driver, Younis was very good too. Highly recommended tour.
