Vertrektijd is 05:00 of 06:00 uur Vanaf elke plek in Amman via woestijnsnelweg duurt het 3 uur om naar het zuiden te rijden richting de Nabateese rode rozenstad Petra. Petra wordt beschouwd als een van de 7 wereldwonderen, het is een UNESCO World Heritage Site sinds 1985, op 230 kilometer afstand van Amman dat meer dan 2000 jaar geleden in steen werd gehouwen om de handelsroutes van het oude Arabië te domineren. Bezoek de steden, dammen en waterkanalen en geniet van een wandeling langs de smalle Siq, een pad dat de hoofdingang van de stad is. U ziet ook andere monumenten zoals het klooster en het altaar van offer. 09:00 uur aankomst Visitor Center in Petra en koop een ticket tenzij je een Jordan Pass hebt, je kunt gewoon het papier laten zien waarop het is afgedrukt of telefonisch om de barcode over te nemen. Start Petra site tour voor 3-4 uur. 12:00 uur Rijden richting Dode Zee
Om 12:00 uur ga je naar de Dode Zee via de binnenweg Namalel Road, waar je 3 uur over moet rijden. Stop voor een panoramisch uitzicht op foto's door de hoge bergen naar beneden richting de Wadi Arabah-weg die na 40 km begint. Onderweg zijn er een aantal interessante plaatsen, de grot van de profeet Lot, het laagste punt op aarde-museum. Aan het begin van de Dode Zee is er een stop van 5-10 minuten voor een fotoshoot van de zoutkoralen van de Dode Zee. 15:00 uur Aankomst in het resorthotel in de Dode Zee en gebruik het volgende: faciliteiten/strand/zwembaden/modder uit de Dode Zee/koud water/open lunchbuffet inclusief vegetarisch eten. Geniet van de Dode Zee en zwem twee tot drie uur, eindig om ongeveer 18.00 uur, ga naar Amman, een uur rijden en zet je af bij hetzelfde ophaalpunt. 19:00 uur Aankomst in de stad Amman

This was an amazing tour. The tour company offered suggestions such as Mt. Nebo, the Baptism site, and Umm Qais that led up to the Petra tour, I’m glad I took advantage of those tours. Everything about those tours and the Petra tour was nothing short of incredible. My driver, Raed, who’s an awesome driver, has a great personality, and kept me informed on what we are doing. He made these tours worthwhile. He’s did an amazing job.

Exceeded my expectations. Raed the driver was very safe, friendly and knowledgeable; Isam the guide was very informative and easy to get along with. Gave good recommendations on best way to get around. Got there early, so missed the crowds. So glad I went the private way and not a bus with many people. Petra was every bit as impressive as I had imagined. Had a good lunch, then a dip and body mud experience in the Red Sea via the Crown Plaza resort. The day was of good length. Got to fit everything in without things dragging along. I was limited with time so this gave me a real sense of the ancient lands with the time I had.
Asmar was an excellent guide throughout our time in Jordan. He went above and beyond by sharing useful information, insights, and context along the way, which really added value to the trip.
