Boek een Mini trekking op de Perito Moreno gletsjer en je zult het ijs dichterbij dan ooit voelen! Deze dagexcursie neemt u mee om een dag lang, volledig uitgerust en begeleid door onze gecertificeerde tweetalige gidsen, over de gletsjer te wandelen. Je hebt ook toegang tot de balkons van de gletsjer gedurende een heel uur om het beste uitzicht en landschappen van het Nationaal Park te krijgen voordat je gaat voor deze unieke ervaring! De excursie omvat een navigatie van 20 minuten naar de Perito Moreno-gletsjer en een lange wandeling over het ijs om elke hoek van de gletsjer te ontdekken. Mis deze fantastische ervaring van wandelen op de gletsjer niet!

De tour begint met het ophalen van uw centraal gelegen El Calafate Hotel (indien optie geselecteerd). De exacte ophaaltijd wordt de dag vóór de tour opnieuw bevestigd.
Nadat we de hotels zijn gepasseerd, nemen we de provinciale route nr. 11 om het Los Glaciares National Park binnen te gaan. Dit unieke natuurwonder is in 1981 door UNESCO uitgeroepen tot "Werelderfgoed van de Mensheid". Het Nationaal Park omvat een scenario van bergen, meren en bossen, een groot deel van het Andesgebergte bedekt met ijs en sneeuw in het westen en de dorre Patagonische steppe naar het oosten.
Eenmaal in de haven "Bajo las Sombras" gaat u aan boord van een schip om het Lago Rico over te steken en na een reis van 20 minuten ongeveer voor de zuidelijke muur van de Perito Moreno-gletsjer aan de overkant aan te komen. Voor degenen die de optie zonder transfers hebben gekozen: hier ontmoet u uw gids die u alle nodige instructies zal geven.
Eenmaal op de grond begint een korte wandeling van 20 minuten met een gesprek over glaciologie langs de oever van het meer naar de gletsjer. Eenmaal op het ijs leggen de gidsen elke deelnemer een paar stijgijzers aan en geven ze instructies over hoe ze op het ijs moeten lopen. Tijdens de ongeveer 1:30 uur durende wandeling over de gletsjer, zult u een grote verscheidenheid aan ijsformaties kunnen waarderen, evenals scheuren, gletsjermolens en kleine vijvers. De moeilijkheidsgraad van de trekking is matig. Het ijsoppervlak waarover je loopt is onregelmatig, maar stevig en veilig. Je krijgt informatie over flora en fauna en over het specifieke fenomeen dat alleen plaatsvindt in de Perito Moreno-gletsjer en dat uiteindelijk zijn breuk veroorzaakt.
Na de ijstocht en een boottocht van 20 minuten terug naar de haven. Als u voor de optie met transfers kiest, omvat de tour een bezoek aan de wandelpaden van het Los Glaciares National Park. Daar kunt u genieten van het verbazingwekkende panoramische landschap van de gletsjer en een aantal van de zelfgeleide paden volgen. Kiest u voor de optie zonder transfers, dan zijn de loopbruggen niet inbegrepen. Je zou zelf moeten gaan.
In de middag, na een bezoek aan de loopbruggen en genietend van het prachtige uitzicht op de gletsjer, keren we weer terug naar onze hotels in El Calafate.

This is an incredible once in a lifetime experience. Worth the cost!! The boat trip gave amazing views, as did the walk up to the glacier. We spent ages walking on the glacier, with up close amazing views from various different angels. Great guides, really friendly and knowledgeable. Finished with relaxing walk along the walkways which gave different views of the glacier.
Tour of the park everything was malhavilla, but the mini trekking would be unique experience and was sensational!I would like to congratulate the 2 guides are attentive and friendly and telling the formation of the glacier and take care of us to the end! The views were spectacular , we caught incredible moment that we saw glaciers fell making noise , it was too spectacular ! We captured the video that Pena can only post photos kkkk! It's worth it!

I booked a tour at 0730 am and the tour started late and we had to leave earlier and leave the tour because made us late and we had to go to the airport .

I booked a small group tour (less than 10 people) and paid USD 500 for this. But I ended up in a bus tour with 40 people!! The description page on TripAdvisor also says this tour is supposed to no more than 10 people. It took one hour in the morning to pick up all the guests to the bus. And the excursion on the ice was also in large group of 20 people. I tried to contact the vendor, but no reply. I filed a complaint via TripAdvisor and asked for partial refund. The dared to reject the request and told TripAdvisor that my tour was in group of 10. Fortunately, i happened to record my trecking so I finally to got refund.

Our guide Nico was incredibly friendly and helpful. Some of the other staff were a bit pushy to rush everyone through each section, however overall a great experience

My partner and I went to El Calafate specifically to do this tour. We booked in and received confirmation of our booking. On the day that we arrived at El Calafate we were notified by email that the trip had been cancelled. No good reason was provided. We spent 3 hours trying to get onto another mini-trek but nothing was available. In the end we did not do a Mini-trek. We were extremely disappointed to say the least. It is extremely unlikely that we will ever get back to El Calafate so this opportunity was lost. So if I were you I would not book with Viator for this trip in case you are cancelled at the last minute like us.
The walk was out of this world - a once in a lifetime opportunity. A bit frustrated by the unupdated information on the exchange rate for park entrance, which resulted in us having to use a credit card instead of cash. A bit of a hiccup that left a bad taste about the tour group, and not the tour. The tour was AMAZING 😍
You must do it, you travel to the caulk then you must make the decision to do it and live this experience, it is safe, it is incredible, it is somewhat demanding about the effort, a little high the price but it is worth I take you to catwalks at the end then it's the most complete since you also sail

The bus picked us up from our hotel with about 20 other people. Note that the time quoted for bus arrival is really just the start time to commute from hotel to hotel. You will need cash for the park entrance fee -- it is not included in the price you pay online. The trek itself was easy (we're in our 30s and not overweight). The guides were knowledgeable and conduct tours in english or spanish as needed. Save photos on the boat tour for the way back from the glacier. Make sure on the catwalks that you just sit and watch (and listen!) for the glacier to calve. Amazing experience. In general, this was a really cool tour. Worth the money, as it is a once in a lifetime type of experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
