De tour naar de kastelen van Peles en Cantacuzino omvat schoonheid en geschiedenis in één. Peles is Europa's eerste geëlektrificeerde kasteel met alle moderne voorzieningen, waaronder centrale verwarming, stromend warm en koud water, centrale stofzuiger, een elektrische lift en nog veel meer al vanaf het begin van de 20e eeuw. Een bezoek aan het kasteel van Peles is bijna alsof je in een kunstwerk zelf zit, bij elke stap die we naar binnen zetten, raken we gebiologeerd door elk klein detail, de verschillende gravures, schilderijen en meubelstukken die concurreren met bekende kastelen en paleizen over de hele wereld. Cantacuzino Castle was het zomerhuis van een bekende politicus uit de 19e eeuw Grigore Cantacuzino. Hij was in die tijd een van de rijkste mannen van Roemenië en besloot dit authentieke monument te bouwen met een adembenemend panorama op het Bucegi-gebergte. Het kasteel, gebouwd in neo-Roemeense bouwstijl, is omgeven door steegjes en paden die leiden naar fonteinen, watervallen en kleine grotten.

Rijd van Brasov naar Sinaia ca. 50 minuten. Het uitgestrekte kasteel Peleș in Beierse stijl werd in de 19e eeuw gebouwd in een weelderig bos om het Roemeense koningshuis te huisvesten en behoort tot de mooiste van Europa. Een gids leidt je door veel van de onberispelijke, sierlijke kamers, die nog steeds zijn versierd met weelderige meubels en decoraties. Je krijgt ook de kans om het naburige Pelișor Castle te bezoeken, een kleinere koninklijke residentie die is uitgedost in art nouveau-opsmuk.
Het Sinaia-klooster, gelegen in Sinaia, in de provincie Prahova, Roemenië, werd in 1695 gesticht door prins Mihail Cantacuzino en vernoemd naar het grote Sint-Catharinaklooster op de berg Sinaï in Egypte. Sinds 2005 wordt het bewoond door 13 christelijk-orthodoxe monniken onder leiding van hegumen Macarie Boguş. Het maakt deel uit van het aartsbisdom Boekarest. De Oude Kerk werd gebouwd in 1695. In 2006 werd ze gesloten om een restauratieproject te starten om haar in haar oude schoonheid terug te brengen. Het originele interieurschilderij werd voltooid door Pârvu Mutu en werd voor het eerst gerestaureerd in 1795. De Oude Kerk is sinds 2016 heropend. Lunchpauze ongeveer 30-45 minuten.
Rijd ongeveer 20 minuten naar Busteni. Kasteel Cantacuzino kreeg een geheel nieuwe sfeer in de nieuwe serie "Woensdag". Kasteel Cantacuzino uit Busteni werd gebouwd en ingehuldigd in 1911 op wens van prins Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino (ook bekend als "de Nabob" - premier van Roemenië tussen 1899-1900 en 1904-1907). Het kasteel, gebouwd in neo-Roemeense stijl, is omgeven door een park dat u naar de grot, watervallen en fonteinen brengt. De ontvangsthal herbergt een unieke collectie heraldiek in Roemenië. Het gebouw van baksteen en natuursteen strekt zich uit over een oppervlakte van 3148 m². De decoraties geven het interieur een sterk romantische sfeer. De open haarden van witte steen en met polychrome mozaïeken maken de sfeer van een landhuis compleet en verhogen de waarde van het gebouw. Het kasteel heeft een unieke collectie die het wapen vertegenwoordigt van de Boyar-families die verwant zijn aan de Cantacuzino-familieleden van de Walachijse kant. Rijd ongeveer 40 - 50 minuten terug naar Brasov.

Volgens deze nieuwe regel zullen onze gidsen de gasten niet meer vergezellen in het kasteel. Zij delen de historische informatie en inzichten voor en na uw bezoek.

In your trip to Transylvania, you MUST go to Peles! Pictures cannot capture the opulence and beauty. This tour is the perfect way to see it. Peles is definitely the highlight of the day and you spend most of the time there, but it's really nice to have the other activities (Sinaia monastery and Cantacuzino) as supporting events. Our guide was absolutely perfect, super organized, incredibly knowledgeable, and ready to adapt to wherever our interests lie. He got us into the castle the moment the doors opened, and we could spend as long as we wanted there. It was a great balance to the day. The communication and logistics were excellent. This is a very smooth and easy tour where all you have to do is enjoy the sights! I highly highly recommend this tour!!!!

I had a great day on my tour to visit Peles and Cantacuzino castles. Being the slow season for tourism I was concerned they wouldn’t have the tour if no one else signed up, however they did and I was really appreciative because I really wanted to see the castles and I was leaving the next day. The company was very communicative and helpful with information. The tour guide Tiberiu was extremely nice and full of so much historical information. It was not only such a beautiful trip seeing the land and castles but made for a really valuable lesson in Romanian history. The castles are stunning and the land around them as well. We had a great tour to the two castles. Our guide Charlie picked us up on time at the hotel and guided us through the two castles. He gave us a lot of information, also on other topics that interested us. Charlie is a super nice and fun guide. We'll be back!

We visited on a Sunday and there were crowds at the castle sites so we were glad to have Dan as our guide. He was most helpful in explaining the complexities of the royal families and indeed the shifting complexities of the nationalities in the Balkans

The tour was completely insatiable, with a guide named Charlie having extensive knowledge of history and castle details. He was such a wonderful guide. It is possible to see the castle alone, but it is definitely better to have a guide. It was super efficient, especially if Kantakouzino Castle was to be incorporated. I couldn't stop wondering what the rooms were for in the castle and how they were decorated. I went to five or 60 rooms in Perez Castle alone and he explained everything in detail. There were large groups of people on tour, but the small number of people on this tour allowed us to ask almost one-on-one questions and they did us a favor. I asked him to arrange a visit to the Château de Périchore and he was happy to include it. The time I got back to Brașov was just right at 15:30, and when I said I wanted to go home, he took me straight to the Brașov ropeway boarding area. Everything is in English, so even Japanese people who understand English somewhat are definitely recommended

Amazing trip, could not have been luckier with Dan as our tour guide. He was very professional and made everything interesting and fun. Would highly recommend. If we would change anything we would maybe skip Cantacuzino castle, but everything else was very interesting to see.
