We beginnen in het historische Pearl Harbor, waar u uit de eerste hand de wereldschokkende gebeurtenissen zult ervaren die de VS in de Tweede Wereldoorlog hebben gekatapulteerd. Ga met ons mee naar het USS Arizona Memorial, een diep ontroerende en emotionele ervaring waar je meer te weten komt over de 1177 zeelieden die omkwamen toen hun slagschip tot zinken werd gebracht tijdens de Japanse aanval van 7 december 1941 op Pearl Harbor. Je bent getuige van de aanval in een 23 minuten durende documentaire en steekt vervolgens de haven over naar het Memorial in een marineschip. Betuig bij het Memorial je respect aan de helden wiens namen in marmer in de Shrine Room zijn geëtst. Kijk in het water en zie de oliedruppeltjes - "The Black Tears of the Arizona" - die blijven ontsnappen aan het gezonken slagschip en naar het havenoppervlak stijgen. Terug in het Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is er tijd om de tentoonstellingen van het Tweede Wereldoorlog-museum en de boekwinkel te bezoeken.
Gedurende deze tijd kunt u de Dole Plantation Store verkennen, waar u souvenirs met ananasthema, lokale ambachten en speciaal voedsel zoals jam en gedroogd fruit vindt. Mis niet het proberen van een Dole Whip, de beroemde ananas-smaak soft-serve traktatie. U kunt ook een korte wandeling maken om de prachtige Rainbow Eucalyptus bomen te zien, bekend om hun kleurrijke, multi-getinte schors.
Onze adembenemende reis gaat verder terwijl we de valleien en kliffen van het smaragdgroene Koolau-gebergte en de rotsachtige kustlijn van Zuid-Oahu in ons opnemen. Je zult versteld staan van het ongelooflijke panoramische uitzicht vanaf Nuuanu Pali Lookout, Makapuu Point en Hanauma Bay.

This tour was great! Summer was so knowledgeable and we learned so much! I only wish we would have had more time for each activity- especially at the Polynesian Culture Center. Had so much fun!

This tour is entirely too long. The Pearl Harbor tour was interesting. The Dole plantation was only a souvenir stop. The Polynesian Center tour was too much after a long rainy day. If you want to do these activities, do them separately on different days.

We had an amazing experience with Aloha Sunshine Tours on the Pearl Harbor, Plantation, and Polynesian Cultural Center tour! Papa P was absolutely the best tour guide — incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and attentive to everyone throughout the entire day. He made the experience feel very personal and took the time to get to know all of us, which made the tour even more special. It was a long day, but Papa P kept everything fun, engaging, and comfortable from start to finish. He shared so much interesting information and local history, included everyone in the experience, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time. He was also hilarious and made us laugh all day long! One of my favorite parts was when he played the guitar and sang songs for us. It made the tour feel so authentic and memorable. We also loved hearing his stories about his family and life in Hawaii. You can really tell how much he cares about people and loves what he does. We would absolutely recommend Papa P and Aloha Sunshine Tours to anyone visiting Hawaii. Thank you for such a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

The tour description states that the tour starts at 7am. The tour operator informed me that it actually starts with a pickup time of 6:15am telling me that the tour company has informed Viator of this but Viator failed to change the start time. The description also states the tour lasts 6-7 hours which is what I planned for. It is actually 12 hours and had I known I would not have booked this. The bus air conditioning was inadequate and the speaker system was so loud I wore hearing protection all day. The driver/tour guide was good, very friendly, helpful and informative. If it wasn’t for him, I would have given the review only 1 star. The war memorial and the Polynesian Cultural Center were both spectacular and I definitely recommend a visit to both.

If I could give this tour 10 stars I would. This was such a beautiful experience that I did not want it to end. Papa P made us family in our time together. He told us beautiful stories about his family and showed us pictures. Papa P played his guitar and sang to us. He also played music and we sang in our seats. I cried a little bit on the way back to Waikiki because I didn’t want the day to end. It was a memory I will hold in my heart forever!

Our driver, Anthony, was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He kept things interesting and on time. We were even able to squeeze in a couple bonus short stops. All admission is part of the tour, so you don’t need to worry about anything.
