Great tour and saw many parts of this great city of Charleston. Will come agin and take a tour with Karen. Enjoyed it.

We beginnen bij het Laurens/Rutledge-huis op 117 Broad St. Dit huis en dat aan de overkant zijn diep verankerd in de oprichting van ons land. Werk dan onze weg naar Tradd St. - stop bij de Sword Gates en het huis van kolonel John Stewart terwijl we de Engelse geschiedenis, de oprichting van de kolonie, architectuur, epidemieën, rampen, twee oorlogen en meer bespreken. Cross Meeting St. naar de oorspronkelijke ommuurde stad, waar we Pres. Het bezoek van Washington en de "primeurs" van Charleston. We eindigen op Bay St om de stad te zien die is gepland door de eigenaren van de Heer, en bespreken waarom het werd gebouwd en waarom het naar beneden kwam. Op naar de High Battery om het begin van twee oorlogen in onze haven te bespreken, de laatste Royal Govenor en het begin en einde van de Burgeroorlog. Op de terugweg bespreken we nogmaals slavernij, gastvrijheid, vriendelijke samenlevingen en het koloniale Charleston. Om onze tour af te ronden, sluiten we af met onze eetcultuur terwijl we je naar de stad sturen om te eten met opties voor eetervaringen in de stad!

Amazing Tour
We took our family on the South of Broad Street Tour over Thanksgiving weekend. Karen was the best history tour guide. Her knowledge of Charleston is endless, she is lively, she is humorous, a really held everyone’s attention.

Great Tour Guide Every Which Way
Karen was our tour leader on the Charleston walking tour. She was great - super prepared and knowledgeable and fun. She had charts and graphs that were easy to understand and illustrated the social and economic background behind physical things, she knew the names of the trees and plants as well as the history behind houses and buildings and she walked and talked at just the right pace. We had a very interesting discussion on the Jim Crow era in Charleston. And her restaurant recommendations were spot on. The tour was a highlight of our visit to Charleston.

Great introduction to historic Charleston
Following the failure of another operator, we’re incredibly fortunate to find Karen and enjoy a fascinating tour of historical Charleston. She provides both strolling and driving tours- we took the driving tour. Her passion and in-depth knowledge of the history, architecture and back stories of Charleston’s events, personalities and their place in history was both enjoyable and educational. We only had a short time here, but feel we got wonderful introduction to one of America’s great cities. Thank you Karen!

The low country history strolls tour was my HIGHLIGHT of visiting Charleston SC!!! Karen is a magnificent tour guide and is well versed in the history of Charleston. I could feel her passion and love of the area the entirety of the tour. THIS TOUR IS A MUST TO ANY WANDERER.
