Verken het hart van Parijs tijdens deze tour door Île de la Cité, beginnend bij het ruiterstandbeeld van Henri IV. We verkennen het schilderachtige Place Dauphine en bewonderen de middeleeuwse grandeur van de Tour de l’Horloge en de Conciergerie, ooit de thuisbasis van zowel koninklijke als revolutionairen. Uw Gids deelt de lokale cultuur, van de rijke juridische geschiedenis van het Justitiepaleis tot de bruisende Marché aux Fleurs (bloemenmarkt). Je begint je tour bij het iconische ruiterstandbeeld van Henri IV, bekend als de “Goede Koning”. Het symboliseert de prestaties van de koning in het brengen van stabiliteit in Frankrijk na de Godsdienstoorlogen.
Deze oase van rust ligt op het puntje van Île de la Cité en biedt een schilderachtig uitzicht op de rivier de Seine. Het is vernoemd naar koning Henri IV die bekend stond als de “Vert Galant” voor zijn romantische escapades.
Vervolgens bezoekt u dit driehoekige plein verborgen in het hart van Île de la Cité, een van de meest charmante en rustige plekjes van Parijs. Gebouwd door Henri IV, werd het ontworpen om een rustige woonwijk te creëren.
U komt dan langs het Hof van Beroep, een essentieel onderdeel van het Franse rechtssysteem, waar belangrijke juridische beroepen worden behandeld. Hier kunt u de indrukwekkende gevel van buitenaf bewonderen.
Uw gids laat u deze klokkentoren zien, een van de oudste in Parijs, die in 1370 werd geïnstalleerd om koninklijke macht en gerechtigheid te symboliseren. Het herinnert aan het middeleeuwse belang van tijdwaarneming in het stadsleven.
U kunt de grote buitenkant van de Conciergerie bewonderen, ooit een koninklijk paleis en later een beruchte gevangenis tijdens de Franse Revolutie. De gotische architectuur verwijst naar zijn donkere geschiedenis. Upgrade uw ticket om een bezoek na de tour in dit ongewone middeleeuwse gebouw op te nemen.
U ontdekt ook de klassieke buitenkant van het Paleis van Justitie, dat al eeuwenlang het centrum van de rechterlijke macht is, met de hoogste rechtbanken van het land.
Uw Gids neemt u mee langs de buitenkant van de Sainte-Chapelle kerk, een meesterwerk van gotische architectuur beroemd om zijn prachtige glas-in-loodramen.
Voordat u het einde van de rondleiding bereikt, ontdekt u deze historische bloemenmarkt op Île de la Cité. Het is vernoemd naar koningin Elizabeth II en is een pittoreske plek om de natuur in het hart van de stad te verkennen.
Hier kunt u de gotische architectuur bewonderen die bezoekers al eeuwenlang boeit. U ziet de iconische gevel, ingewikkelde sculpturen en torenhoge torenspitsen. (Entree niet inbegrepen.)

My family and I booked a walking tour of Ille de la Cite and Notre Dame with Sophie this weekend. Sophie took her time explaining the history and the background of each street and building.
