Tijdens onze Secret Food Tour: Le Marais Parijs, geniet je van een verscheidenheid aan klassiek Frans straatvoedsel, beginnend met een viennoiserie/croissants, en het verzamelen van brood, en ga dan zitten om te genieten van een klassieke croque-monsieur in het restaurant waar Jim Morrison bracht een deel van zijn tijd door in Parijs, waar hij ons mysterieuze gerecht en onze kaas ontdekte terwijl hij genoot van een glas rode en witte wijn. Een bezoek aan Le Marais betekent ook dat je de Joodse straat van Parijs ziet en romige Falafels proeft. Ga vervolgens naar een wereld van zoetheid voor een aantal ongelooflijke chocolaatjes en kleurrijke macarons, dit alles bekroond met een dessert om in stijl af te sluiten. Onze tour begint in het bruisende hart van Le Marais, vlakbij de beroemde rue de Rivoli, een van de hoofdstraten van de stad. Tijdens de tour lopen we door de oude straten, steken we de Place des Vosges over en zien we enkele van de oudste middeleeuwse huizen van Parijs. Je zult beseffen hoe de lokale bevolking in dit deel van Parijs leeft en hoe de historische invloed van de stad haar gastronomie heeft gevormd.

Een opvallende barokke kerk uit 1641 torent uit boven de Rue Saint-Antoine. De koepel inspireerde Les Invalides, en de stappen hebben gewaakt over Marais marktleven voor bijna vier eeuwen.

Het oudste geplande plein van Parijs, voltooid in 1612 voor koninklijke feesten. De perfect symmetrische rode bakstenen arcades huisvestten ooit Victor Hugo, en omlijsten vandaag een van de meest elegante plekken in de stad om te pauzeren tussen de proeverijen.
Het schrijvershuis van 1832 tot 1848, verscholen in de hoek van Place des Vosges. Hugo schreef veel van Les Misérables hier, en het appartement is nu een gratis museum met uitzicht op het plein.
Joodse wijk
Het kloppend hart van de historische Joodse wijk van Parijs, de Pletzl. Deze smalle middeleeuwse straat is omzoomd met falafelkraampjes, Jiddische bakkerijen en door een familie gerunde delicatessenwinkels — een levend verhaal van de gemeenschappen die de eetcultuur van de Marais hebben gevormd.

I really enjoyed my experience. Zara was a great tour guide and host. She was very sweet and knowledgeable. There were many things that we tasted that were amazing. Also I loved how much history I got to learn on the tour that was pleasantly unexpected. My only critique is that it did feel like it was pretty sugar heavy. I felt like it would be perfect if they had at least one more savory tasting. Other than that my experience was amazing. The weather was beautiful and the neighborhood was gorgeous. If you’re a foodie, and also love seeing beautiful building and structures. This is a must do.

This was a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very accommodating for the full range of ages on our tour (3 to 73). The food was delicious and we walked through some great neighborhoods. She knew a lot about the food, neighborhoods, and history. The only 2 recommendations I’d have (and they are minor) are: add a savory item to the very first stop at the Boulangerie and if possible tie the food to the tour more—it sort of felt like 2 tours. These are highly minor items, though. I recommend the tour and recommend our guide!

Absolutely incredible! The Paris Le Marais Food Tour was unlike any other food tour we’ve experienced. Every tasting felt unique and authentically Parisian, from the amazing cheeses and fresh local specialties to the incredible wines we never would have discovered on our own. The wine and cheese pairings were out of this world. You simply can’t compare the quality and flavors to what you typically find back home. Everything tasted fresh, carefully selected, and truly special. The staff made the experience even better. They were warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire tour feel relaxed and personal.
