Deze foodtour met kleine groep omvat 10 proeverijen over zes stops in Le Marais, een van de meest gevierde foodbuurten van Parijs. Een Expert Engels sprekende Gids leidt u door Franse, Joodse en mediterrane culinaire tradities die deze straten eeuwenlang hebben gevormd. U proeft escargots met wijn in een plaatselijk restaurant, ambachtelijke kazen gecombineerd met Normandische cider in een door een familie gerunde fromagerie en proeft verse falafel in de Joodse wijk langs de Rue des Rosiers. Het middelpunt is een zittende proeverij van rundvlees bourguignon en Franse uiensoep in een steakhouse. Elk gerecht en drankje is bij de prijs inbegrepen, van het eerste stokbrood tot de uiteindelijke crêpe. Deze tour is ideaal voor voedselminnende reizigers die willen eten als een local zonder het giswerk van het vinden van de juiste plekken op hun eigen.

Uw Gids ontmoet u naast de Apotheek op Place de La République, een van de grote pleinen van Parijs. Na een korte introductie ga je te voet naar Le Marais, een wijk waar Franse, Joodse en mediterrane eettradities al eeuwenlang dezelfde straten delen.
Stap binnen in een traditionele Parijse boulangerie en proef een knapperig stokbrood dat rechtstreeks uit de oven wordt gesneden. Je Gids legt uit wat een dagelijks brood onderscheidt van een echt Parijs stokbrood, en je deelt je eerste hap van de dag ter plekke.
Ga naar een buurtrestaurant voor je eerste proeverij. Malse escargots komen aan tafel naast een glas Franse wijn. Deze rijke, boterachtige combinatie vangt een van de oudste culinaire tradities van Parijs.
Proef in een door een familie gerunde fromagerie ambachtelijke Franse kazen naast een knapperige Normandische cider. Uw Gids legt uit hoe regio, veroudering en techniek elk wiel vormen, van zachte Brie tot verouderde Comté.
Loop de Joodse wijk van Le Marais binnen langs een van de beroemdste kasseienstraten. Bijt in een warme, knapperige falafel van een geliefd mediterraan aanrecht dat bekend staat om royale porties en gedurfde smaken.
Het middelpunt van de tour is een zittende proeverij in een steakhouse. U zult genieten van rundvlees bourguignon afkomstig van familieboerderijen, een rijke Franse uiensoep en nog een glas wijn.
Uw laatste stop is een stoep crêperie gerund door twee vrienden die begonnen met een enkele driewieler winkelwagen meer dan een decennium geleden. Een dunne crêpe wordt vers op de bakplaat gemaakt, gevouwen en afgewerkt met boter en een laagje suiker. Uw tour eindigt hier in het hart van Le Marais.

The food tour was just… fine. Overall, we are happy we did it because we did get to see some of Paris that we hadn’t toured ourselves and got some interesting history about the area. We didn’t think the food or wine was amazing quality, and we didn’t feel particularly well received at the sit-down (chain??) restaurant we visited. At the restaurant where we were able to sample escargot, we waited outside then went upstairs and waited upstairs. There was some back-and-forthing between the tour guide and employee and then another delay, which made everything a bit awkward/uncomfortable for us, but we did eventually get our escargot and wine. Afterward, we walked a bit then stopped to eat our bread and cheese. The bread we received was just okay-tasting small pieces to be sampled with the cheese when we were expecting to have some delicious fresh baguette. It was the kind you expect to see as a garnish on a soup, not one of the main stops on a food tour. The cheeses were all fantastic and we enjoyed them. The French onion soup and beef bourguignon were also just fine but we liked the feel of this restaurant much more than the other. We also really enjoyed the dessert crepe at the end. In future, we would pay very close attention to the reviews if we were ever to consider booking with this tour company again.

Sofia was great! I loved the historical reference to everything we saw and ate! Le Beef restaurant was also very accommodating with my food allergies. My favorite food was the falafel at Marianne’s. I’m not a big fan of falafels but that place changed my mind!!

Sophia is so knowledgeable! Delightful! And real!! The food was outstanding!!! My only complaint was that there was too much onion soup and beef burgoininne. It could have been shared. It was such a sin to throw away so much! But it was delicious!

This food tour was the best experience! Our tour guide Sofia was knowledgeable and so charming. Her experience really added so much more to the experience! The food stops were well planned and we left very full! My favorite was the cheese and crepe stop! A must do if you visit Paris!

I can't think of a better way to spend 3 hours in Paris than eating your way through Montmartre, with Sofia as a guide. Sofia led us to some of the best eats, a little here and a little there and a 2 course meal, and pointed out interesting things and landmarks along the way, and even gave us the background and history. The food was delicious, varied, and plentiful. Everyone in the group agreed that they couldn't have eaten another bite. Thank you Sofia for the wonderful tour.
