beautiful building and nice selection of paintings, etc.. too many people in August and escalators were hard to find at first, but helped for we have difficulty walking up & down stairs.
Go to the right side of the building. Remember your line number. It’s fast and easy. There are several cafes. The main floor cafe seated us quickly. We had baguette sandwiches and drinks. Finding the impressionists’ section (5th floor via an escalator at the end opposite the entry) is tricky. Greet the attendants politely (bonjour Madame) before asking directions.

Arrive early. Crowded by noon. Don’t wait to eat in the restaurant. The lunch menu changes to a tea time menu at 3:00.
The tickets were sold out on the official website. After some research, I found tickets in Viator. Tickets were not marked up and were delivered via email. I just showed up and was able to enter the museum. I'm glad we could visit this amazing museum!
The building is stunning as well as the art. I only had 1.5 hours to enjoy it, but was still able to see everything I wanted to and spend 10 minutes just sitting on the 1st floor just taking it in. Was great not having to stand in line and just showing a bar code.
The Orsay Museum is huge and all the impressions you get are simply breathtaking so recommended for everyone. You can download an audio guide and listen to different stories or without depending on them. Well, it's definitely worth the visit.
Awesome to get to walk by such interesting and beautiful artwork; while being displayed in such an amazing building. The best museum I’ve ever visited.
So much to see! The variety of artists and media is special. We enjoyed a late lunch in the museum restaurant.
