Lack of staff, some puzzles were closed, was it because it was Sunday? It's a shame
Highly recommended and the photos are very cool.
very poor value for money, a visit that is supposed to be 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes ends up being barely 30 minutes even taking the time to do everything.
Marina helped us, a charming girl
I visited the Paradox Museum in Barcelona hoping to enjoy the optical illusions, but unfortunately, it was a completely overwhelming and disappointing experience. If you or your family members are neurodivergent, have sensory sensitivities, or prefer to avoid screen-heavy activities, I would highly recommend skipping this attraction. [1, 2] Even as an adult wearing both noise-canceling headphones and sunglasses, the sensory overload was too much to handle. The background pop music was incredibly loud and unnecessary, and the lighting was extremely harsh. If the environment had been quieter and darker, I would have loved to linger on a few of the activities, including a very nice puzzle exhibit. The only saving grace regarding the environment was the staff, who were kind enough to let me charge my headphones. [1] Beyond the sensory issues, the museum is heavily reliant on mobile phones. Most exhibits involve taking a photo to see an illusion that you cannot actually experience with your own eyes in the room. Even when an illusion was visible in person, the spaces felt like shallow "photo opportunities." Massive crowds of people queued up just to get the perfect picture, which completely took away from the magic. [1, 2] This setup left my 9-year-old—who does not have a phone—unable to do much of anything independently without me constantly pulling my own phone out. A few non-phone exhibits did exist, but they felt pushed aside and ignored. Do not waste extra money on the "Zero Gravity" experience either. It is purely a photo op and not an actual "experience" in the moment at all. Without a phone, you will miss most of the museum. [1] I have truly enjoyed optical illusions like this before, such as the wonderful displays at the Glasgow Science Centre, but this museum was a massive letdown. It prioritizes social media photos over a genuine, accessible experience. [1]
Very good, not as good as some science museums I've been to. The main downside was that deafeningly loud music was played throughout the museum.
AMAZING 10/10 would come again
It was a fun time, best suited for couples, families, and solo travelers more adept at taking selfies. I'd come back with friends!
It was great, I went with my partner and we had a blast. I recommend going with at least 3 people to be able to take better photos. Thank you very much Grace for helping us take photos.
Museum for taking photos. Some activities could be better accompanied
