Paradise Turtle Watching Tours

Sujith was an informative and enthusiastic guide who gave good addition information about the events we were seeing. We saw a large Green Turtle lay her eggs in the hole she had dug in the sand, and expend a huge effort in covering them and then dragging herself back down the beach to disappear into the waves. It was a moving experience that will be remembered for a long time. As we were about to return to the visitor centre, Sijith pointed out a baby turtle, that had just emerged from another nest in the sand, which was starting its own struggle down the beach to take its first plunge into the ocean. This remarkable sight capped a truly memorable experience for us. Thank you Sijith.

Menand my mum went to this tour. We like tuk tuk driver (completely forgot his name). I liked that comparing to other drivers he speaks good english, so we could have nice conversations. He explained everything during tour, was always next to us, worrying that we could see everything. Other drivers were just waiting in tuktuk. Helped with other questions as well. We plan to go with him to other tours, because his services is like for friends, not visitors. He took pictures and made nice video of the trip!

During my stay in Tangalle, Sujith was an exceptionally helpful and reliable companion and tuktuk driver. The trip to the Rekawa Turtle Station was easy and spontaneous. Sujith is always on time and brought us to the station safely and quickly. When a turtle crossed our path on the way, he stopped spontaneously and we were able to See Our first turtle in the evening. I would probably never have discovered it by myself, but Sujith is always very observant. The station appears to be very animal friendly with the turtles and ensures that visitors do not get too close to the animals and avoid any light other than red light. We were very lucky that evening and hardly had to wait to walk down to the beach and watch the turtles lay their eggs. Especially the way back into the sea and the moment when the turtle was caught by the waves was very impressive. The trip was definitely worth it!

Sujith is a gentleman, he is funny, he is courteous, and he is very professional. After one month in Sri Lanka, he is the best Tuk Tuk driver we have found.
