Het is 1805. Jij bent Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos, en na zeven jaar in Kasteel Bellver, ben je ontsnapt. Maar vrijheid is nog niet van jou, je moet terug naar binnen sluipen om een kaart te vinden die naar de haven leidt en een schip van het eiland. Navigeer 14 haltes van het kasteel door het Bellver Forest, langs een kapel, door de straten en markt van Santa Catalina naar de haven. Decodeer Latijnse inscripties, tel Romeinse bewakers, kraak wachtwoorden en lees een zonnewijzer om je ontsnappingsdatum te weten te komen. Download de Questo-app, activeer je quest met de boekingscode en start op de parkeerplaats van Castle Bellver. Geen Gids, geen schema, verkennen in uw eigen tempo. Elke halte onthult de geschiedenis van Palma : Europa's enige cirkelvormige kasteel, een bos dat een heksenlegende verbergt, een 900 vierkante meter grote muurschildering van een hotel en een gedenkteken voor de Burgeroorlog dat werd besproken onder de Spaanse herinneringswet. We randomly tried this outdoor escape game while exploring Mallorca and it was such a fun surprise. Solving riddles while walking through the city made the experience much more interactive than a normal walk. It led us to interesting places and the story kept us curious until the end. Definitely recommend if you want to explore Mallorca in a different way.

Very disappointed. The castle was closed due to stormy weather, which I understand was for safety reasons. However, as the closure happened within 24 hours of my booking, no refund or alternative date was offered. Since the castle is closed on Mondays, there was no chance to rebook either. Poor customer service and disappointing policy for something completely outside visitors’ control.

It was interesting. Without the Questo I wouldn’t probably go to the castle. It wasn’t very clear in the beginning, but it get’s better with experience…
