PALENQUE RUÏNES, AGUA AZUL en MISOL-HA (Privé)

The visit to the ruins was spectacular - Carlos our guide was super knowledgeable, had lots of interesting facts and it was nice to see the place through his expert eyes. Our driver was really great, always driving responsibly and giving us cool tips about Palenque and restaurants. Lastly, the waterfalls were simply magestic, we were recommended to spend more time in Cascadas Agua Azul which was the right choice.

Enjoyed the private our to all three sites. Had a driver which took me to all three and then an English speaking guide at Palenque who was good. Explained things well, took good photos and overall enough time spent. The driver gave me enough time at both waterfall sites and drove very well. Enjoyed the day trip!

We purchased a tour with an Italian guide and found ourselves with a guide who only spoke English. We tried to contact the Agency but they started bouncing us from the "local one" to the European one. In the end we paid out of our own pocket for a guide who only spoke Italian (which was otherwise mediocre since we got it right at the last minute). Let's forget about the small car they assigned to us for a family of 4 with 4 suitcases for a 5-hour journey... All disappointing considering that you don't do 1 trip like this every day!

Although slightly off the beaten path in the Chiapas region it's definitely worth either driving to or taking a guided tour. The Temple of the inscriptions, Acropolis and the Temple of the Red Queen are without a doubt worth a visit! If going on your own I recommend taking the second entrance farther up you'll thank me later! There are bathrooms, drinks and food vendors available on site as well as parking for 50 pesos

The whole experience was amazing. My guide - Hector - was really great. He explained things to me about the Mayas that hadn’t been clear to me from previous tours to other Maya ruins, he knew a lot, he explained really well and he was just enthusiastic and fun to be with. We spent a lot of time at the ruins and arrived early enough to have nice light and no crowds. I liked how the jungle took over and interacts with the ruins. We then visited the two waterfalls. The first one is higher but smaller and you can walk behind it. The Aqua Azul is huge. Both are impressive. I had all the time I wanted for wandering around, taking photos, soaking up the view. We finished with fresh great fish at a restaurant and watching the last part of the Brazil-Serbia world cup game which was also great. Overall a wonderful tour.

Joyce was wonderful! He was there for us in every way. Joyce was also very knowledgeable, but also gave us our space when needed. The private tour is really nice for such a long trip.

We had the privilege of taking a private tour that started in Playa Azul and Misol Ha for a day, and returned to San Cristobal de Las casas fir tge night, incredible experience. Next day we took a tour to Palenque and The waterfalls of Roberto Barrios, but decided to spend the night in the jungle so we could enjoy a night with that spectacular nature. It was amazing waking up at 4am with the profound noise of wild monkeys and lots and lots of birds. Amazing! For the Palenque ruins tour, the jungle and Roberto Barrios waterfalls we had the great privilege of having Mr. Cruz, Fidel as our private guide (+52 916 119 5933) who went beyond of our expectations. A native guy from the jungle who is extremely prepared, experienced in excavations and history, who explained everything on detail. Not only gave us information but interacted to the most with 2 little children 6 and 4 y/o answering every question and interacting also in his mative language. After doing the ruins we paid for the tour to the jungle...while the other tour guides were asking if anybody found an animal to see; Fidel took us little inside away from the road and found the monkeys for as to observe, the snakes and other type of insects and birds. Our experience was top noch with him and so worthy. Our guide Fidel recommended us a hotel in the jungle where we had a blast.. unforgettable experience. Thank you to our Achih guide Fidel, who made this experience to remember and I will come back for more and will recommend to everyone. Palenque ruins are very impressive. The waterfalls of Misol Ha and Agua Azul are definitely worth the drive.

Amazing, private tour from San Cristobal to Palenque with stops at Agua Azul & Misol-ha waterfall on the way. We opted for 2 days & 1 night because of all the driving we didn't want to be rushed or spend 7+ hours in the car in one day. Our driver & guide Guillermo was incredible - definitely the highlight of the trip. He's been working as a guide locally for 20+ years and knew so much about Mayan history + all the other random questions we threw at him throughout the trip. His English was perfect. The car which the agency provided was very comfortable. The hotel we stayed at in Palenque was okay, definitely a little outdated, but it did the job (+had AC which was a must) and the grounds in which the hotel is located on are beautiful. Overall, 10/10 for the trip. Everything we saw was beautiful and would definitely recommend!
