Ongeveer een uur van Hua Hin ligt Pala-U, een prachtige waterval met 16 niveaus. Pala-U ligt in het Kaeng Krachan National Park, het grootste natuurreservaat van Thailand, dat zich uitstrekt in het westen tot Birma. Het park herbergt ongerept regenwoud met enorme bomen en vele soorten vogels en zoogdieren. Wanneer je naar de Pala U-waterval komt, heb je de mogelijkheid om de geweldige natuur te ervaren, jezelf onder te dompelen in de frisse lucht en het aangenaam koele water. Bovendien kun je van bovenaf een adembenemend mooi uitzicht krijgen en enkele interessante planten en dieren tegenkomen. Bezoek de Pala U-waterval, in Keang Krachan, het grootste nationale park van Thailand, met zijn jungle en unieke dieren in het wild.

Wat Huay Mongkol-tempel is eigenlijk een complex van tempels waar het grootste monniksbeeld ter wereld staat - het standbeeld van de beroemde monnik, Luang Phor Tuad. De beroemde monnik, Luang Phor Tuad, werd 400 jaar geleden geboren, aan het einde van de Ayuthaya-periode, in Nakhom Si Tamarat, (in het zuiden van Thailand). Luang Phor Tuad stond bekend om het doen van wonderen en het Thaise volk gelooft dat zijn beeld beschermende krachten bezit om hen te beschermen tegen natuurrampen en het boze oog. De monnik, Luang Phor Tuad, is een heilige man die bewonderd wordt door veel van de Thaise mensen die hem vanuit heel Thailand komen respecteren. Thaise mensen geloven ook dat het dragen van een amulet van Luang Phor Tuad het boze oog weghoudt en geluk brengt. Er zijn enkele kleine winkeltjes die deze amuletten en enkele andere memorabilia in het park verkopen.
10.30 uur verder naar het Kaeng Krachan National Park. Voordat u de Waterval bereikt, kunt u vele malen wilde olifanten de weg zien oversteken. Kaeng Krachan National Park is het grootste nationale park van Thailand. Het ligt op de grens met Birma en grenst aan het Tanintharyi Nature Reserve. Het is een populair park vanwege de nabijheid van het toeristische stadje Hua Hin. Het werd op 26 juli 2021 uitgeroepen tot UNESCO-werelderfgoed
Bereik de Pala U-waterval en loop de jungle in tot aan de mooiste plek waar je kunt zwemmen. De naam "Pa Lau Waterfall" is afgeleid van het woord "La-U" in de taal van Karen, wat "bamboe" betekent omdat het gebied van deze waterval vol staat met bamboe. Pa La-U Waterfall bevindt zich in Kaeng Krachan National Park op een oppervlakte van ongeveer 437.000.000 vierkante meter met de overvloedige natuur en fauna. De wilde dieren die gemakkelijk te zien zijn, zijn onder meer gibbons, olifanten, egels en zeldzame vogels zoals de roodharige trogons, groensnavelmalkoha's, grote leispecht, koekoekskoekoek, enz. Het wordt beschouwd als een andere geschikte plek voor vogels aan het kijken. De waterval heeft in totaal 15 watervallen met individuele verschillende schoonheid. Klimmen naar een hoger niveau is respectievelijk moeilijker. Het personeel raadde bezoekers aan om naar het 5e niveau te klimmen vanwege het steile pad dat beperkt is voor de veiligheid.

We were elected promptly from our hotel lobby. The guide 'Amp' was very friendly and informative about the area we were visiting. Constantly pointing out areas of interest. The meal typical Thai, with a great view.
We had a last minute booking and therefore an extra charge, what we didn't know is that we had a private trip for it! The driver/guide told us a lot during the trip and responded to all our questions. Specially made a small tour change so he could show us more Thai agriculture. In detail, but without imposing, he told us about the faith and culture of Buddhism at the temple with Burda monk. The highlight was the breathtaking beautiful waterfalls where we also swam between the carp. At the end there was a delicious Thai meal at a beautiful idyllic restaurant. So don’t hesitate if you’re looking for another last minute trip.

Very nice experience with eventually a splash in the cool clear water. After a climb, largely doable, sometimes some scrambling we reached level 4 of the waterfall. Here we fed the fish with black grains of fish food that we bought at the entrance. We swam among the fish towards the waterfall. It is not deep, some pieces of stone are a bit sharp, the water shoes came in handy. On the way up, a huge number of colorful butterflies flew. In short, beautiful! Definitely recommended.

The nature and jungle is impressive, unfortunately our expectations were a bit disappointed as we hoped to see and discover more wildlife on this tour, especially elephants and monkeys! Elephants unfortunately did not show up and monkeys there was only a small school on the side of the road but also only because they were just being fed! In the jungle itself you only saw a lot of butterflies and a few lizards! The food afterwards was great! And our tour guide super nice, friendly and very educated! He spoke German, which is another plus point! Conclusion: all in all I found the tour a little too expensive! Even if the jungle experience was good!
Thank you for your review, even if it was too expensive for you. Unfortunately, it is the case that a private booked guided tour costs more than a group join tour because you only drove alone. In addition, as a registered travel agency, we have to comply with Thai regulations, pay taxes and insurance for all guests during the tour. We also have to pay the minimum wage to the driver and tour guide. Since the tour is designed as a jungle tour, there is of course the possibility to see animals, but this is not a guarantee. The English-speaking tour guide was free of charge to offer you a good private tour and excellent service. Nevertheless, I would like to thank you for your booking.
Trip was worthwhile. Guide was very informative. Took us to a number of cultural sites and then to the scenic hike. The waterfalls were picturesque, but challenging to get into the water with the fish and the slippery rocks. The lunch overlooking the hills was delicious. The drive was picturesque. We saw a whole group of macaque monkeys on the way.
