Paella Workshop met Bodemloze Sangria in het Centrum van Madrid

Very fun evening! Tasty sangria and loved the paella. Very courteous in terms of food preferences. I recommend this for an enjoyable evening!

This was hands down one of the best experiences of my solo trip to Madrid—and the best last-minute decision I made! I booked the paella workshop by myself, but never once felt like I was there alone. I met people from all over the world, laughed the entire time, and even left with a new friend. The host and chef were incredibly fun, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we started. The atmosphere was everything—music playing, everyone talking and laughing, sangria flowing, and just genuinely good vibes. And fair warning: do NOT make eye contact with the chef unless you’re ready to be put to work! 😂 He kept us laughing while making sure everyone was involved in the experience. I’ve lived in Spain for years and can confidently say this was the best paella I’ve had, hands down. Learning to make the paella and sangria made it even better. If you’re traveling solo and wondering whether you should book this—DO IT. You may arrive alone, but there’s a good chance you won’t leave feeling that way. I would absolutely recommend this experience and would do it again!

What an Experience! Miguel and Ivan are both very interactive and this activity is very hands on. They make “mini games” so everyone can have a go! After learning and each helping prepare and cook the paella, we enjoyed it all together on a big table! Super yummy and overall highly recommend it ! Thanks Miguel and Ivan, you guys are the best!

Oh, this workshop was so much fun. Everyone had a hand in mixing sangria and creating two different paellas. Delicious and a lot of comradery.

Chef Ivan and Muigel were great. We had so much fun learning how to make amazing paella and sangria. We had a great time with them and they took pictures and shared them so that we can always remember this wonderful experience. Also the best paella I have ever had. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Madrid!

A great evening! Well paced and casual, with plenty of top tips for making the perfect paella. The central location just off Puerto del Sol adds to the convenience. Would definitely recommend as something different to do in Madrid.
