Beschrijving
Dit is een privétour alleen voor jou met privévervoer. Je zult genieten van reizen in Trajinera en dan de mooie wijk van de beroemde Frida Kahlo leren kennen. We hebben het over de 2 populairste wijken in Mexico-stad: Xochimilco en Coyoacán. Xochimilco staat bekend om de kleurrijke en versierde trajineras. Deze lange boten worden bestuurd met behulp van lange stokken door roeiers. De grachten in Xochimilco zijn vol vreugde en mensen vieren feest en rijden samen met andere trajineras. La fiesta zal aanwezig zijn op deze reis. Je eet echte Mexicaanse taco's in de trajinera. In Coyoacán bezoeken we de prachtige centrale tuinen, de buitenkant van het huis van Frida Kahlo, het huis van Hernán Cortés en proef je het populaire ambachtelijke ijs uit deze buurt.

Reisroute
De ophaalservice vindt plaats bij uw accommodatie of op een ander adres in Mexico-stad. Normaal gesproken duurt de transfer naar Xochimilco 1 uur.
We bezoeken eerst de pier genaamd Nativitas, waar we gedurende 1 uur een trajinera zullen rijden. Dit is een kleurrijke en gedecoreerde sloep met daarin een grote tafel met stoelen. De rit gaat over een kanaal waar we meer mensen zullen tegenkomen die feestvieren op andere trajinera's. Dit wordt een interessante en leuke reis. Hier eten we taco's en drinken we 1 drankje per persoon dat je eerder hebt geselecteerd.
Normaal gesproken duurt onze weg naar Coyoacán 45 minuten vanaf Xochimilco. Hier bezoeken we de buitenkant van het huis van Frida Kahlo, de tuin van Frida Kahlo, de buitenkant van het huis van Hernan Cortés en Malinche. Vervolgens vindt de voisit van de hoofdtuin in het centrum van deze wijk met de iconische coyotefontein, de kerk van San Juan Bautista en de proeverij van het beroemde ambachtelijke ijs plaats.
Na een bezoek aan deze twee prachtige wijken vindt de terugkeer plaats bij uw accommodatie of een ander adres in Mexico-stad.

Such a fun experience and definitely one of the most unique parts of the trip! The atmosphere was so lively with music, food, and other boats passing by, and it ended up being the perfect mix of relaxing and fun. We loved being able to enjoy the scenery, celebrate, and just soak in the energy of Xochimilco. It’s one of those experiences that really feels like you’re immersed in the culture and vibe of Mexico City.

From the pick up at the hotel, the guide and driver made the tour very enjoyable. Best of all, not having to think about anything and just enjoy. The food, transportation, guide and service exceeded all expectations. Really recommended.

It took us 2 hours 45 minutes to arrive as it was traffic and rains, also the driver did not take the toll road and it was so dark when we reached and did not enjoy the ride, as there were hardly people and it was no fun
Dear, Saurin. The tourists are who select the best time for them. some of tourists prefer do the time during the night. We have a wide range of hours from 10 am. Now we are on high season and all the city is full of traffic. Thanks for your review
Our guide Ruben was very nice. He was our guide for two experiences. For our experience in xochimilco, he shared his knowledge with us about trijaneras. His knowledge was extensive and made us good talk during our trip. We will schedule it again!

We returned to CDMX for a second time and booked another tour with Epic Journey. We were fortunate to be assigned the same exact tour guide as our trip to the pyramids. Our guide, Victor, arrived on time and remembered us from our previous trip. For this journey, we went to Xochimilco to enjoy fresh tacos on a Tuesday in the trajinera. The whole experience was very smooth. After, we spend the remaining time in Coyoacán, walking through the neighborhood and enjoying churros and ice cream. Highly recommend Epic Journey team for value and expertise.

Our tour with Oscar was absolutely incredible from start to finish! He was so kind, knowledgeable, and friendly — we instantly felt comfortable with him. He drove us to the Xochimilco canals for a beautiful boat ride, then took us around Frida Kahlo’s neighborhood, where he had the best local recommendations for tostadas, coffee, ice cream, and churros. It was overall a fun and insightful tour — it felt like exploring the city with a local friend who truly loves what he does. The tour company was also very accommodating with our scheduling needs, and everything was perfectly timed for us — never rushed, just smooth and enjoyable. We felt like we experienced some of the best of Mexico City in one day. We feel so lucky to have had Oscar as our guide, and we genuinely hope anyone booking this tour gets him too — he made the day absolutely exceptional. We had high hopes for this tour, but it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The admin team was very accommodating when we asked to change our pickup point, which we appreciated. The “tour guide” arrived in time, but the driver arrived about 20 minutes late. Most of the time was spent getting to Xochimilco with stops for tacos and then drinks. The taco place actually sold drinks too, so the second stop felt unnecessary. By the time we ate, the tacos were cold and there were no napkins or utensils. The guide and driver were friendly but didn’t offer much commentary. I’ve done a similar tour before that felt more authentic, with fresh food from passing boats and live mariachi. This one felt disorganized and ran late, so we even shortened the boat ride. Everyone was nice, but it just didn’t flow smoothly.
