Onze eerste stop is Cambridge, een stad die bekend staat om zijn unieke, sierlijke gebouwen en cultuur en een historische stad vol karakter. U ziet het beste dat Cambridge te bieden heeft tijdens een wandeltocht door de stad met uw Expert Gids. Vervolgens reizen we naar Oxford, de "City of Dreaming Spires", waarvan de verstilde binnenplaatsen en elegante, waardige, versleten gebouwen generaties geleerden (waaronder Bill Clinton in de jaren 1970) en schrijvers hebben geïnspireerd, waaronder Lewis Carroll die hier "Alice in Wonderland" schreef.

Onze volgende stop is Oxford, ook wel bekend als The City of Dreaming Spires. Onderweg ziet u architectuur uit elke periode in de Engelse geschiedenis, van het vroege Saksische tot de gotische opwekking. Deze eclectische mix van gebouwen is uniek voor Oxford, omdat het de enige plek in het land is waar je bouwwerken uit elke periode in de Engelse geschiedenis vindt. Oxford is natuurlijk ook de thuisbasis van de Universiteit van Oxford, de oudste universiteit in de Engelstalige wereld met een oorsprong die teruggaat tot de 11e eeuw.
De rivier de Cam (/ ˈkæm /) is de belangrijkste rivier die door Cambridge stroomt in het oosten van Engeland. Na het verlaten van Cambridge stroomt het noord en oost in de Great Ouse ten zuiden van Ely bij Pope's Corner. The Great Ouse verbindt de Cam met de Noordzee bij King's Lynn: de totale afstand van Cambridge tot de zee is ongeveer 64 km en is bevaarbaar voor punts, kleine boten en roeiboten.
De Bodleian Library is de belangrijkste onderzoeksbibliotheek van de Universiteit van Oxford en is een van de oudste bibliotheken in Europa. Met meer dan 12 miljoen items is het de tweede grootste bibliotheek in Groot-Brittannië na de British Library.
In Christ Church college, bezoekt u een van de meest prestigieuze hogescholen van de universiteit. Christ Church werd in 1532 gesticht door Hendrik VIII en fungeert ook als de kleinste kathedraal van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. De prachtige architectuur heeft het gezien in films zoals Harry Potter en The Golden Compass, terwijl het ook replica's over de hele wereld heeft geïnspireerd. De beroemde eetzaal is bijvoorbeeld gereproduceerd in Cornell University & de University of Chicago. De eetzaal in alle Harry Potter films is gemodelleerd naar de Christchurch eetzaal!
Als we Oxford verlaten, komen we door de Chilterns, een gebied van uitzonderlijke natuurlijke schoonheid. De tour eindigt buiten London Victoria Train Station, centraal gelegen en gemakkelijk bereikbaar met de nationale trein en metro, het wordt bediend door de Victoria, District en Circle Lines en is in Travel Zone 1.

Our guide Cameron was very friendly, knowledgeable and witty. I got a very good perspective of the two world famous universities along with their background stories and anecdotes. We received excelllent service and support from both Cameron and Christian , the driver. The trip was well worth our time and money,
Cameron (guide) and Kristian (driver) did an excellent job on our tour to Cambridge and Oxford. Bus trip and walking tour was informational and interesting, with free time to explore both places.

The day was amazing. We had an exceptional guide Cameron and an exceptional driver Merlom. The day was filled with information details, stories, comedy, theatrics, and just a pleasurable day. The day was long we were pleasantly entertained along the way of our journey and we were given enough time to take a break from the guides microphone, which was just enough time to gather our thoughts about what we saw. It was a classic university to see all the highlights and all of the beauty that Oxford and came, which have to offer.
