Te midden van de intense geuren en kleuren kunt u wandelen tussen eeuwenoude olijfbomen, de ondergrondse en bovengrondse olijfmolens bezoeken en dankzij het aangrenzende museum van de boerenbeschaving de evolutie van het platteland door de eeuwen heen ontdekken. Tijdens de rondleiding leer je alles over de processen die leiden tot de productie van extra vierge olijfolie en kun je de producten van de boerderij proeven. Een ervaring die smaak en cultuur combineert en die alle zintuigen weet te verrassen en te bevredigen.

Tour was advertised as 1.5 hours but was only approximately 40 minutes. Lovely location and restaurant. Knowledgeable guide. However, information was only about the trees and the old production process underground. We did not see or learn anything about the current olive oil process. Guests were given a tiny amount of 3 different olive oils to drink and some dried fava beans. That was the whole tour. 100% NOT worth 40 euro per person especially for our large group of 12. Would have been better if the tour had some food to pair with the different oils, was more personalized / engaging, and was more inclusive of the modern day production facilities. If leaving the tour as it is, then price should be lower and should be advertised with the correct duration.
We booked the tour and found out once we got to Ostuni that we would need a car or take a taxi. We opted for the taxi. We love olive oil and have done tours like this before. It was advertised as a 1 1/2 hour tour of the grounds and tasting. We were dome in less than 45 minutes. The guide was fine but she didn’t really engage well with the group. When we got to the tasting we were given 3 very small tasting. My suggestion is to save your money and look elsewhere. My wife and I were disappointed.

The entire tour lasted less than an hour. The guide could speak only a little English and could understand none so we could not ask any questions. The grounds were lovely.

Learned about olive trees, the ecosystem to maintain the balance, learned about the ancient mill, got to taste 3 different types of olive oils. The experience can be further enriched with olive pressing as the price is indeed steep for a pure explanatory experience.

The location is a little out of the way if you don’t rent a car. However once you arrive the staff is friendly. Angela our guide took us through the olive grove showed us the oldest trees in the grove and explained the importance of harvesting and irrigation. The olive tasting was very interesting as well as the snacks
