Rondleiding door het Ostrog-klooster Bezoek Ostrog Monastery, een adembenemend 17e-eeuws bedevaartsoord uitgehouwen in een verticale klif. Bekend om zijn prachtige uitzichten en diepe religieuze betekenis, trekt het bezoekers uit de hele wereld op zoek naar vrede, genezing en inspiratie. 2. Ostrog Monastery & Niagara watervallen Naast het Ostrog Monastery is deze optie inclusief een stop bij de Niagara Watervallen bij Podgorica – een charmante natuurlijke site waar de Cijevna rivier over brede, ondiepe rotsen stroomt. 3. Ostrog klooster, hoofdattractie, en Skadar Lake boottocht met Niagara watervallen, aanwezig van ons aan u. Deze optie is voor degenen die op zoek zijn naar een halve dag tour (6 uur) en meer natuurwonderen rond Podgorica stad,... Let op : In juli kunnen de watervallen droog zijn, optionele stop is mogelijk niet beschikbaar. Opmerking : Zondagen zijn meestal drukker, maar vooral 12 mei, de feestdag van het klooster.

Een van de meest bezochte orthodoxe kloosters ter wereld en de belangrijkste orthodoxe heilige plaats in Montenegro, gelegen tegen een bijna verticale achtergrond, hoog in de grote rots van Ostroška Greda, in Montenegro. Het is opgedragen aan de heilige Basilius van Ostrog, die hier werd begraven. Het bestaat uit twee delen - de Boven- en Beneden-kloosters. In het Bovenste, Klooster worden de overblijfselen van de heilige basiliek van Ostrog bewaard. Sint Basilius is de stichter van het klooster. Vanuit het klooster is een super uitzicht op de vlakte van Bjelopavlići te zien. Gelovigen van over de hele wereld komen hier om te bidden voor de gezondheid van hun geliefden en die van hen. Het klooster werd gesticht in de 17e eeuw maar gerenoveerd in de 20e eeuw.
Een van de meest geselecteerde plekken om te zien in Podgorica, de hoofdstad van Montenegro, is de Niagara watervallen, onderdeel van de canyon rivier Cijevna. Deze watervallen zijn 150 jaar geleden gebouwd voor de behoeften van de molen waar vroeger meel werd gemalen. Vandaag de dag is het een toeristische attractie en een prachtig natuurtafereel, waar water door de stenen breekt en een scène creëert voor een ansichtkaart. Door de smalle doorgangen, grote rotsen en grote wijngaard stukken zijn de Niagara watervallen een van de mooiste in Montenegro. In optie met Skadar Lake (optie 3) de watervallen stoppen is complementair dus heeft geen invloed op de prijs. Veel plezier.

High-level tour, the driver/guide 'Kimi' was very capable and quick, accompanying us at every stop and providing the best advice; it was an excellent choice to rely on them, I highly recommend it, 5 stars.

An interesting walk. The monastery is worth visiting. The waterfalls and the lake are impressive, although the incessant rain did not allow for full enjoyment.

Dimitrije picked us up from our hotel with a big smile and answered all our questions along the way and gave lots of information. He allowed us time to explore on our own as well and we found lots to talk about. The Monastery and Falls are definitely worth seeing and we would recommend this tour and company to anyone. Vladimir picked us up from our hotel in Kotor on time and was an amazing tour guide the whole day. He made our 2 hr trip to Ostrog feel like 30 minutes. He is so informational about his country.
The guide was good. However I thought I had booked an activity with Ostrog Monastery, Skadar Lake, Niagara Falls,Virpazar city for 225 euros for two. Apparently the falls were dry which I can understand. And when the guide contacted someone from the agency I had apprently only booked the monastery.... It’s strange because my ticket was Ostrog and water falls Niagara I therefore find that 225 euros was expensive to visit a monastery only…. Be carefull with the program when you do the réservation…

Our guide was on time, informed us of the day, was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He was patient with our groups pace (knee injuries) which was appreciated. Overall, good tour of the specific spots.
Had somewhat mixed feelings about giving this tour a five as was leaning towards a four the guide made that pretty clear. A few things why I thought it was not a five. While we had a private tour when it came to the boat ride it was not private, we had another couple join us. Also the "Niagara" was not really worth it as it added unnecessary time, as the trip to the Monastery is pretty long and was more of a point of the tour. The guide on the other hand was absolutely amazing and not to mention his driving skills and knowledge of both history and the surroundings.
The tour was excellent. We had a friendly tour guide that joked around with us, understood us and was very informative. Our needs were accommodated and we appreciate that.
