Je zult je een weg banen door de straten van Osaka met een van onze lokale gastheren uit Osaka, die zich tegoed doen aan regionale Kansai-gerechten. Bekend als ‘Kuidaore City’, wat betekent ‘jezelf ruïneren met voedsel’, zijn we er zeker van dat je het ermee eens zult zijn dat dit klinkt alsof je gelukkig bent geland in de gastronomische hoofdstad van het land! Je zult je tegoed doen aan Kobe-rundvlees, het beste geserveerd gegrild of in Tecchiri. Rond het af met een dessert! Je zou kunnen gaan voor zoete rijstwafels, regenboogkleurige pannenkoeken of matcha-gearomatiseerd ijs. Binnen 24 uur na boeking ontvangt u een korte vragenlijst over uw persoonlijkheid en interesses. Op basis van uw antwoorden krijgt u een gelijkgestemde host toegewezen. Uw gastheer zal rechtstreeks met u communiceren om een reisschema voor te stellen om u te helpen ontdekken wat de stad uniek maakt. U zult ook een tijdstip en plaats voor een vergadering overeenkomen. Je reisschema is flexibel, dus tijdens de ervaring kun je altijd van gedachten veranderen over wat je wilt doen.

Voordat je avontuur begint, ontvang je een korte online vragenlijst, zodat we een food journey kunnen ontwerpen die is afgestemd op jouw smaak – of je nu snakt naar knapperige takoyaki, zeldzame wagyu of traditionele zoetigheden uit een stille banketbakkerij. Hier zijn slechts enkele hoogtepunten om uw eetlust op te wekken :
Begin uw reis op deze bruisende overdekte markt, liefdevol bekend als “Osaka’s Kitchen”. Proef sappige gegrilde coquilles, hartige kroketten en seizoensfruit terwijl je gastheer inzichten deelt in lokale ingrediënten en culinaire gebruiken.
Wandel onder neonlichten en langs het Dotonborikanaal. Proef Osaka’s iconische takoyaki (octopusballen) of okonomiyaki (hartige pannenkoeken) en ontdek hoe deze levendige wijk de eetscene van de stad heeft gevormd.
Verscholen achter de drukte van Dotonbori biedt deze smalle kasseistrook een kijkje in het oude Osaka. Bezoek een vredige met mos bedekte tempel, duik vervolgens in een historische izakaya voor gegrilde spiesen en een glas sake.

Five star experience! Our guide, Taiga, kindly met us at our hotel instead of the designated meeting place, and from there, we went on a tailored food tour based on our dietary preferences and the areas we were interested in seeing. Taiga was also thoroughly entertaining and very friendly. We learned that he is very well traveled, and we had an excellent time hanging out with him, learning about the places we visited, and experiencing delicious Osaka cuisine.

This was our best experience in Osaka with our brilliant guide, Mayura Kai. Very knowledge local, former chef and restaurant owner. Great English, friendly, well paced and delicious food everywhere we went. An excellent lunch and an incredible wander through the most expansive and best basement department food hall we have ever seen. Highly recommended.
