Namba in het donker heeft bars zonder Engels menu en geen ruimte voor een tour groep, zes zitplaatsen aan een toonbank, de Eigenaar twee meter verderop. We krijgen je binnen. De eerste stop is voor ons: twee drankjes, sake, een highball, of een Japanse zuur, hoe de nacht het ook noemt. We dwingen je niet tot dure, vooraf ingestelde drankpakketten. Betaal alleen voor wat u daadwerkelijk wilt drinken tegen lokale prijzen Je Gids kent de eigenaren goed genoeg om je te laten zitten waar een inlooptoerist niet voorbij de deur zou komen. Verwacht van daaruit lokaal ambachtelijk bier, meer sake en waar de bar eigenlijk om bekend staat. Wat dit anders maakt : we houden groepen expres klein, max 8 gasten. Een 20-persoons crawl past niet in een 6-persoons izakaya. Dat kan. Dat is het hele idee en daarom lieten de bars ons binnen. Je eerste stop, een staande bar in Namba's steegjes waar vaste klanten al tientallen jaren drinken. Bestel wat je leuk vindt en chat met de Osakanen via je Gids. Ontvang hier 2 welkomstdrankjes om je avond te beginnen, alles daarna is pay-as-you-go.
Een bar waar iedereen in Namba ongemerkt langs loopt. De lokale bevolking weet beter. Bestel wat de man naast je heeft, praat met de barman en krijg een gevoel voor een plek waar niemand optreedt voor toeristen.
Wikkel de nacht in een verborgen bar, vlak naast Dotonbori. Probeer lokale sake, of beter nog, de beroemde Obanzai. Ooit van gehoord? Zo niet, dan is dat precies waarom je bij ons moet zijn, we laten het je Gids uitleggen tijdens een drankje.

Kenji was a brilliant tour guide. He knew all the best local bars which was awesome. Not to mention all the hidden gems Kenji spoke to us about which is a must add to your Japan trip. The experience was amazing. It was great seeing which bars locals go as well as seeing how popular some of these places were. It lasted the perfect amount of time to then allow us to explore the night life in Osaka by our selves. 10/10 would book again.

Very friendly staff and easy to find. Excellent English. I ended up having to cancel due to an early flight the next day that I didn’t remember, but I would recommend tours with this group. Both the drinking and food tours.

Our guide Satsuki was fantastic guide!! She was very engaging and attentive. She took me some Izakaya where I wouldn’t have able to find!
