Het is een absoluut geweldige ervaring om als een professional te leren autorijden in deze absoluut unieke gebieden. Een onvergetelijke ervaring. Bekwame en ervaren gidsen nemen je mee op en neer door deze enorme duinen terwijl je de Classic Sandwich Harbor Tour beleeft. Bekijk de verbazingwekkende roze wateren van de zoutmijn, bekijk de duizenden steltlopers in het Ramsar Wetland, flamingo's, pelikanen en alle soorten, bekijk zeehonden en jakhalzen terwijl je over het strand rijdt en vervolgens de torenhoge duinen op. Coaching en ervaringen delen met de Gids. Er worden geen risico's genomen en er worden routes gekozen die compatibel zijn met de bestuurder om de VEILIGHEID te optimaliseren, maar u zult zeker de spanning en de adembenemende uitzichten mee naar huis nemen in een van uw meest gunstige herinneringen...gegarandeerd.... ga met ons mee. Na een ontmoeting in Swakopmund rijden we naar Walvisbay, waar we een half uur later onze Walvisbay-gasten ontmoeten. Vervolgens langs de zoutmijn naar het strand, naar de duingordel bij de haven van Sandwich, waar de zee Duin ontmoet, en de torenhoge duinen op, voor een aantal echt adrenaline-opwekkende momenten en adembenemende uitzichten. Langs vele steile hellingen en vele hoge duinen langs een echt opwindende duinrit. U volgt onze gids met uw auto en wordt in elke situatie verder geholpen door onze gids. Wij begeleiden op routehulp met rijtechnieken, communiceren via Radio. Zorg ervoor dat uw auto voldoende verzekerd is en dat u toestemming heeft van het autoverhuurbedrijf om Sandwich binnen te komen. Na de duinrit gaan we terug naar Walvisbaai, banden oppompen en terug naar uw accommodatie. Het is een geweldige ervaring. Let op: de prijs hier is voor 1 voertuig inclusief 2 personen. De tour begint echt op de Walvisbaai Esplanade. Hier bekijken we de Flamingo’s en laten we onze banden oppompen. We wisselen ervaringen uit en leren elkaars voertuig kennen. Vervolgens gaan we langs de roze zoutmeren van de zoutmijn het strand op en naar de torenhoge duinen. We doen dezelfde route als onze Sandwich Harbor Dune-rit.

- Baby's en kleine kinderen kunnen in een wandel- of kinderwagen mee
- Kinderen moeten bij een volwassene op schoot zitten
- Niet aanbevolen voor reizigers met ruggengraatletsel
- Niet aanbevolen voor zwangere reizigers
- Niet aanbevolen voor reizigers met een slechte cardiovasculaire gezondheid
- Reizigers moeten ten minste een gemiddelde conditie hebben
- Deze ervaring vereist een minimumaantal deelnemers. Als dit niet wordt gehaald, bieden wij u een ander tijdslot/datum of volledige restitutie aan.
- Uw voertuig moet bij aanvang van de Tour zo licht mogelijk zijn en volgetankt. Laat eventuele extra waterkannen en jerrycans thuis.
- Deze Self drive tour is niet beschikbaar voor Cruise liner Gasten
- Als u een huurauto hebt, zorg er dan voor dat u hun toestemming hebt om hun auto in Sandwich Harbour te gebruiken
- Als u een eigen voertuig heeft, zorg er dan voor dat het voldoende verzekerd is
- Als u geen auto heeft kunt u bij ons een auto huren. Neem contact met ons op
- Let op: Duitse gidsen zijn beperkt en we hebben niet de capaciteit om iedereen een Duitse gids te geven, Deze worden toegewezen op basis van wie het eerst komt, het eerst maalt. Let op: we kunnen niet garanderen dat er een Duitse gids op elke tour!!
- Zorg ervoor dat uw voertuig is uitgerust met alle benodigde hulpmiddelen om de duinen in te rijden, een reserveband, apparatuur om uw band te vervangen indien nodig etc

The trip to Sandwich Harbour is only possible with a guide. So if you want to go there, you need a driver/guide. For us, it was Winton, and he did a great job - we had a lot of fun!
We did the halfday tour to Sandwich Harbor and it was just a perfect day! Thanks so much to Victor for safely driving us through the dunes, showing us the most wonderful places there and explaining us about all the local nature and animals. We will never forget this day!

We booked the tour and a rental car to drive ourselves. The car was very good, strong engine, V6 petrol. The ride in the dunes was demanding, some experience advantageous. Winton as a guide (via radio) gave good instructions at the right time and always had us in mind. We felt in very good hands. Great lunch in the dunes overlooking the sea. Exceeded expectations and a highlight on our Namibia trip.

We did book a self driving tour to sandwich harbour and as our rental car company would not allow us to use our car we rented a car from Desert Dunes and Dust Tours and what should i say. It was a 10 stars experience and the views you are going to see is absolutely insane. Nothing what a picture could ever really capture. Your are standing on the top of a dune with your 4x4 which you drove yourself to one of the most beautiful places on earth, did see some whales along the way and had endless fun driving on the beach and in the dunes. For everyone who is worried about the self drive, do it!!! Our Guide Stephan has been phenomenal in giving us great advice for driving but also his knowledge about the area and wildlife is absolutely amazing and he has a fun personality. The tour is literally one of the best things i have ever made. Thanks a lot!!!

We had an exhilarating day out to Sandwich Harbour- it was a very high spring tide with 1.6m waves - we were the only car to get to Sandwich Harbour through the back dunes as our wonderful guide, Gerhard, was very experienced. We went up and down very high dunes but saw the beautiful Sandwich Harbour. Coming back the tide had washed right in - even the back dunes were covered - once again Gerhard did an amazing job and safely got us through - with waves lapping over the car!! We tried to go to see the seal colony in the afternoon but after going through 5 “rivers “ of tide coming in we had to turn back! Thank you Gerhard for a great day out! We highly recommend this tour and guide!

We booked the Self Driving Tour to Sandwich Harbour. I expected to enjoy the beautiful nature and improve my 4x4 driving skills. And I can promise every guy: this is amzing!!! You get a perfect advice from the guide and follow him. You start easy step by step. After this trip you ride up and down the dunes like a rollercoaster.
