Onderweg bezoekt u een charmant kunstenaarsdorp waar de lokale bevolking nog steeds handgemaakte ambachten woont, maakt en verkoopt. Vaar langs de majestueuze Grote Boeddha van Wat Paknam, een adembenemend gezicht vanaf het water, en verken de prachtige Reclining Buddha Temple bij Wat Raja Oros, een verborgen juweeltje dat alleen de lokale bevolking kent. De tour eindigt handig bij BTS (sky train) Wutthakat, waardoor u met gemak terug naar de stad reist.

Khlong Bang Luang Kunstenaarshuis Terwijl we door het kanaal glijden, zie je het Khlong Bang Luang Artist House – een eigenzinnig oud houten huis dat een hub is geworden voor creativiteit en het lokale leven. Denk aan muurschilderingen van straatkunst, traditionele poppenshows en een vleugje kleur direct aan het water. We zullen hier niet stoppen, maar het is het soort plek waar je zin hebt om te zwaaien, een foto te maken en te zeggen “Wow, Bangkok heeft overal geheime juweeltjes!”
Weggestopt van de drukste toeristische plekken van Bangkok, is deze koninklijke tempel een echte verborgen schat. Gebouwd en gerestaureerd tijdens het bewind van koning Rama III, is het beroemd om het mengen van Thais en Chinees design op de meest opvallende manier - kleurrijke pannendaken, gedetailleerde keramische decoraties en elegante paviljoens. In tegenstelling tot de drukke tempels in het centrum van de stad, is Wat Ratcha Orasaram kalm en vredig, waardoor je de ruimte hebt om te vertragen, rond te kijken en te genieten van de details. Binnen vind je prachtige muurschilderingen en genoeg hoekjes die perfect zijn voor rustige foto’s. Het is een plek waar geschiedenis, kunst en sereniteit samenkomen, waardoor het een van die geheime Bangkok-ervaringen is die de meeste reizigers missen

Hidden Bangkok Tours, fantastic way to experience the Klongs and a very nice guide. We did a private tour by electric longtail boat with Cody seating, which is really a plus. We could ask our friendly guide a lot of questions and could actually understand everything he told us. I believe with the diesel driven boats this is not possible at all. Highly recommended!
Our guide Som was amazing! So friendly, fun and informative. We learned so much and had a great time!!!

Had an amazing two hour long boat trip with Som today. Saw a unique side of life in Bangkok, it is so peaceful, green and beautiful on the canals. Loved visiting the artists house, so much to see and do. Also got to see large lizards, an egret, and so many carp! As well learnt about, and saw, a traditional but evolving river based way of life. Som was so knowledge about Thailand's history, culture and religion, and a pleasure to have as a guide. I learnt a lot and had a great time. The Wat we visited at the end was very quiet and local, but still stunningly beautiful, and people were very friendly. Can't recommend this tour highly enough.

Fantastic tour, great starting location and very friendly personnel. Amazing scenery of local area and way of life. Tour guide (YoYo) was brilliant with great knowledge and very open and down to earth speaking. Well worth going on if your looking for a 2 hour canal tour.
