Firostefani We bezoeken ook de beroemde Blue Dome-kerk in Firostefani, het onderwerp van zoveel ansichtkaarten van Santorini.
Op de hoogste plek van het eiland claimt het klooster van Profitis Ilias de meest bevoorrechte locatie op Santorini. Panoramische uitzichten die adembenemend zijn en een ontzagwekkend gevoel dat maar weinig plaatsen in de wereld kunnen beloven!
Pyrgos: De Kasteli van Pyrgos, een heel dorp gebouwd als een fort met de huizen dicht bij elkaar, geeft een kijkje in het middeleeuwse verleden van Santorini. Smalle steegjes, stevige architectuur, prachtige uitzichten zijn slechts enkele van de dingen die u mag verwachten wanneer u in Pyrgos bent.
Black Beach: De vulkanische oorsprong van Santorini is duidelijk te zien aan de stranden; ongebruikelijke kleuren indrukwekkende rotsformaties die de kust van Santorini zijn adembenemende karakter geven; laten we beginnen met Kamari en Perissa, het geweldige zwarte zandstrand.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
U kunt vragen om opgehaald te worden vanaf elke locatie op Santorini. Als u een cruisereiziger bent: Individuele cruisepassagiers gaan op Santorini van boord met tenderboten die alleen in de oude haven van Fira aankomen. Volg deze stappen om de uitgang van de kabelbaan in Fira te vinden: • Neem een tenderboot vanaf uw cruiseschip • Eenmaal aan wal ga je naar de kabelbaan • Betaal een kaartje van 6 euro per persoon (enkele reis) neem een kabelbaan naar de stad Fira (3 min.) • Kom uit het kabelbaangebouw • Achter de poort staat onze gids of chauffeur u op te wachten met Omega Travel bord met uw naam erop. Alleen passagiers die in georganiseerde groepen op Santorini aankomen of excursies aan wal maken aan boord, gaan van boord in de haven van Athinios. Deze reizigers gaan als eerste van het schip. Al de rest wordt beschouwd als individuele reizigers en gaat alleen van boord in de oude haven van Fira. De ezels komen naar een andere plaats in Fira, niet naar de uitgang van de kabelbaan. De trap brengt je naast de uitgang van de kabelbaan, maar we raden ten zeerste aan om de kabelbaan te gebruiken voor je comfort.

I am 81 & reasonably fit, my husband is 83 & not so fit but we wanted to experience as much of Santorini as possible so we booked the private 6 hour tour so we were able to go at our own pace. We arrived at Santorini on our cruise ship. I was a bit worried we would be late getting ashore as passengers on the ship excursion got priority on the tender but we kept in touch with Omega Travel by Whatsapp & Nikos, our lovely guide & driver was patiently waiting at the top of the cable car when we eventually got there. My husband is interested in history & knew about the caldera & the destruction of the Minoan empire so the Akrotiri Archeological Site was a must & it didn’t disappoint. Other than that we just wanted to see as much of the island as possible & we did. Nikos took us to many view points where there were very few, if any, tourists. He was an excellent guide, very caring & considerate & as a local of course very knowledgeable about Santorini & its history. A good photographer too! For some lunch he took us to a favourite restaurant of his not far from where he lives, well away from the tourist area & in a peaceful area by the sea. We were disappointed that company rules meant he couldn’t join us. Thank you Nikos & Omega Travel. We had a wonderful day & I would have no hesitation in recommending you to my friends.
Excellent tour. We saw many beautiful areas from one side of the island to the other, both tourist filled and quiet, non-tourist aareas to experience the island life. We learned much about the island and life there thanks to our wonderful guide, Aris.

Niko was very flexible, accommodating a change in pickup location and my sister's difficulty with steps. He was a wonderful guide, providing information about local history, architecture, culture and geology as well as colorful insights about Santorini. The van was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the private tour that catered specifically to our needs and what we wanted to do.
Aris was our private tour guide and he was amazing!! He showed me and my parents all the wonderful places we wanted to go to, along with some special spots that were a pleasant surprise, all while staying ahead of the crowds and impressively maneuvering around the heavy traffic. He was very friendly, funny, and was happy to share information about the beautiful island, and we learned some more Greek words! Would 100% do the tour again with him!

Not only did he provide an excellent tour, he took the time to answer all of questions about the island and culture. Lots of time to explore. Not rushed like other tours. Great tour, very engaging guide, who was very informative and pleasant to spend the six hours with. We got the opportunity to not only tour the island, but also visit the vineyard, and have lunch at the local’s restaurant, Mario’s.
Ponos was such a wonderful guide who made sure we had a great day! My friend and I are 76 and 68. Ponos walked extra to get the car to keep our walking time down. He was very informative and courteous about asking what we wanted. He took us to an awesome restaurant for lunch where we had great service and delicious food right on a beach. Ponos did everything we asked for and had great suggestions to fit our Interests. I highly recommend Ponos if you are looking for a great day exploring Santorini.
