Spätburgunder of Gewurztraminer rolt niet snel van de tong, maar beide Duitse wijnen stromen wel heel goed door je keel. Sluit je aan bij Grape Escapes Germany om te ontdekken wat er WUNDERBAR is aan de Pfalz-wijnstreek! De Pfalz wijnstreek ligt ongeveer (1hr.15m) ten zuiden van Frankfurt of ongeveer 40 minuten van Heidelberg. Hier vindt u een charmante wijnstreek van glooiende heuvels met oude wijnwortels en traditionele wijndorpen met Franse invloed. Omdat het een warmere regio is, hebben de wijnen meer body en rijpheid en het is hier voorbij Riesling dat u enkele van de beste rode wijnen van Duitsland vindt. De Pfalz is ook beroemd om enkele van de beste kookkunsten van Duitsland. Tijdens deze persoonlijke tour is er 3+ wijnproeverij bij een mix van boetiek en iconische wijnhuizen die meer dan 30+ wijnen proeven. Na al die wijn stoppen we voor een stevige regionale lunch van Schnitzel of speciale lokale worst. Er zijn geweldige seizoensgebonden vegetarische opties aswell. om de balans en wijn stromend te houden. Alle wijnproeverijen en lunch zijn inbegrepen.

It was fantastic! Great wines, very informative and Carl was such a good guide/host! I would recommend anyone book this tour. He customized it to our small group’s wine tastes.
Our guide sent us a message half an hour after the tour was supposed to start saying he had been sick and needed to cancel. We then received a message that we had cancelled!
Carl is amazing and so knowledgeable about wine and the area. He will plan the day for whatever you want to see or try, and he knows of many truly hidden gems. I can’t recommend this enough.
We had a lovely day with Carl. It turned out to be just the two of us so we had a private wine tour and ride all day. From the moment we were picked up to drop off everything went great. Explored the Rhine region and tasted plenty of wine. We detoured and went to a brewery for lunch, which actually was perfect. Don’t hesitate to book this day trip from Frankfurt. Carl is a wonderful host

Carl is an amazing guide. He provided a customized tour to several wineries. He provided background and the winery host explained about their wines. Carl provided snacks along the way (best pretzels ever) and some of his favorite wines to try. His car was comfortable and roomy. He continued to provide service along the way and assisted with shipping wine back to the states. This is a wine immersion tour with no limits on the number of wines experienced. We couldn’t ask for a better day and the hotel pick up and drop off made it easy. If you travel with Carl you won’t be disappointed

Carl was very knowledgeable and gave us loads of insights. We visited 3 different wineries that all had something unique to offer. Carl tailored the tour to what we wanted but also inspired us to try alot of different blends that were amazing. We tasted a total of 52 different wines!! Snacks and even more wine was provided in between the stops. We had great day and would definitely call him again when we go back to the area for some more amazing German wines!
