Tijdens deze tour verkennen we de drukke wijk Georgetown. Dit gebied bestaat uit gerenommeerde gespecialiseerde bazaars, met kleine kronkelende straatjes, magazijnen, overdekte groothandelsmarkten, straatstalletjes en winkels. Oorspronkelijk heette het 'Black Town', het gebied kwam aan het eind van de 17e eeuw na de oprichting van Fort St. George. Lokale mensen vestigden zich hier om te handelen en zaken te doen met het fort. Een deel van Black Town werd afgevlakt in 1700's, om een open gebied buiten Fort St George te verstrekken. De inwoners van Blacktown herstelden zich net buiten het open gebied, in wat New Black Town werd genoemd. In het midden van de 19e eeuw werd het open gebied (oude zwarte stad) gebruikt om het grote gebouw van Madras High Court te bouwen. In 1910, toen King George India bezocht, werd Blacktown omgedoopt tot Georgetown. Vandaag de dag is Georgetown nog steeds een druk marktgebied en verkoopt alles in de zon: armbanden, stoffen, fruit, groenten, specerijen, briefpapier, sieraden, enz.
