Begin uw dag in Chennai bij de Sri Ramakrishna Math op RK Mutt Road, waar u ongeveer 45 minuten kunt genieten van een rustige sfeer. Bezoek vervolgens de Kapaleeshwarar-tempel om de prachtige Dravidische architectuur en levendige gopuram te bewonderen, waar u ongeveer een uur verblijft. Maak daarna een ontspannen wandeling van 45 minuten langs Marina Beach, en geniet van lokale snacks en de zeebries. Ga vervolgens nog eens 45 minuten naar de Shirdi Sai Baba-tempel, waar u zich onderdompelt in de spirituele ambiance. Volg dit met een bezoek aan Fort St. George, waar u het koloniale museum voor een uur kunt verkennen. Daarna ga je op weg naar Vivekananda House, waar je 45 minuten kunt besteden aan het leren over het leven en de leer van Swami Vivekananda. Sluit je dag af in de Santhome Cathedral Basilica, een prachtige neogotische kerk, die 45 minuten besteedt aan het waarderen van de architectuur en rust.

We bezoeken een unieke monastieke organisatie genaamd Ramakrishna Math, gewijd aan Sri Ramakrishna, de heilige uit de 19e eeuw. Gasten krijgen de universele tempel, het heiligdom, een prachtige Mantapam, een multimediamuseum en een betoverende bibliotheek te zien.
We gaan richting Mylapore, een oude woonwijk van Chennai waarvan de geschiedenis teruggaat tot de Romeinse tijd, toen het peper en fijne stoffen met Rome verhandelde voor goud! We bezoeken de prachtige Kapaleeshwar-tempel. Deze tempel is gebouwd in de 7e eeuw en is gewijd aan Heer Shiva. Gebouwd in Dravidische stijl, heeft het een torenhoge "Gopuram". Gasten kunnen een betoverende ervaring van rituelen en sereniteit in de tempel verwachten. Onze culturele evangelist zal de gebeurtenissen in de tempel demystificeren!
Wandel over het Marina Beach, langs het 3 km lange hoofdgedeelte van Marina Beach, en u komt langs cricketwedstrijden, vliegers, waarzeggers, vismarkten, maïsroosters en families die genieten van de zeebries.
Dit is een tempel gewijd aan Sai Baba, de grote mysticus die hindoes en moslims verenigde en predikte over universele liefde en broederschap. De tempel is gebouwd met wit marmer en heeft een lamp die al meer dan 100 jaar brandt
Fort St George is het eerste Engelse fort dat in 1644 door de East India Company werd gebouwd. We bezoeken St Mary's Church, de oudste Anglicaanse kerk van India. Onze culturele evangelist neemt je mee naar een schilderachtig museum vol met relikwieën uit de koloniale tijd en vertelt het verhaal van hoe de East Indian Company veranderde van een handelsbedrijf in de heerser van India!
We gaan het monument voor Swami Vivekananda verkennen, een groot filosoof. Zijn toespraken op het Wereldparlement van Religies in september 1893 maakten hem beroemd als redenaar door goddelijk recht en als boodschapper van Indiase wijsheid aan de westerse wereld. Op maandag is het gesloten en bezoeken we in plaats daarvan het Egmore Museum.
We bezoeken de beroemde San Thome Basilica, de belangrijkste kerk van het rooms-katholieke aartsbisdom Madras en Mylapore. We kunnen hier relikwieën van St. Thomas zien. Het is een van de drie kerken ter wereld die is gebouwd op het graf van een apostel. De andere twee zijn de Sint-Pietersbasiliek in het Vaticaan en de kathedraal van Santiago de Compostela in Spanje.
