Ga mee op een nostalgische reis door de rijke geschiedenis van Bangalore. Deze 4-5 uur durende wandeltocht voert je langs iconische bezienswaardigheden en je ontdekt verborgen verhalen en fascinerende feiten over MG Road, Tipu's Palace, Bangalore Fort en KR Market. Maak je klaar voor een mix van cultuur, architectuur en bruisend stadsleven. Comfortabele schoenen en een nieuwsgierige geest zijn alles wat je nodig hebt! MG Road (Mahatma Gandhi Road) in Bangalore is een van de beroemdste en meest bruisende gebieden van de stad en biedt een mix van commerciële, culturele en entertainmentervaringen. We beginnen hier en ik ontmoet je bij de ingang van het metrostation MG Road. Er staat een standbeeld van een olifant bij de ingang van het station, waar ik je zal ontmoeten.
We zouden Brigade Road aflopen. We beginnen bij Cauvery Emporium, verkennen de geschiedenis en de markante gebouwen van de weg. Kom meer te weten over de winkels en nog veel meer terwijl we door het steegje lopen. Vervolgens nemen we de metrotrein naar KR Market.
Ga naar de grootste bloemenmarkt van Azië. Ervaar levendige kleuren en geuren, de drukte van een typische lokale Indiase markt, leer hoe een typische dag is voor een lokale verkoper De markt zelf is doordrenkt van geschiedenis, aangezien deze is opgericht tijdens het Britse tijdperk. U ziet de koloniale architectuur van het marktgebouw en nabijgelegen structuren, waardoor u een glimp opvangt van het verleden van Bangalore. En nog belangrijker, verken de boeiende geschiedenis van de markt en .. nog veel meer terwijl we lopen
Het Bangalore Fort, een historische plek die dateert uit het Kempe Gowda-tijdperk. Het is klein maar een belangrijk fort met veel geschiedenis
De Kote Venkataraman-tempel, een van de oudste tempels in Bangalore, werd gebouwd in het begin van de 17e eeuw tijdens het bewind van de Mysore Wodeyars. De tempel is een klassiek voorbeeld van Dravidische architectuur

Anand is hands-down the best guide we could have asked for in Bengaluru! His local knowledge is simply unmatched. He took us to stunning temples and hidden corners of the city and surrounding areas that no guidebook or app would ever surface. Places we'd have walked right past became fascinating stories in his hands. What really set him apart was his flexibility. When we wanted to linger longer at a temple or skip something that didn't interest us, he adjusted the plan on the spot without any fuss, and always had a brilliant alternative ready. And his sense of humor made every moment fun; we spent half the tour laughing and the other half engaging in Bangaluru and Mysore history! If you want to experience the real Bengaluru, Nandi Hills, and Mysore beyond the usual tourist trail, book Anand. You won't regret it!
I am from Bengaluru, born and bred in this city known for posh cars, beautiful girls, IT, greenery and diversity. However, what Anand showed me was completely different to what I already knew. This walking tour was great. To not get too tired the guide used the subway which was an interesting experience. The visits were very informative. This allowed me to understand the history of Bengalore.

We just had a tour with Anand on our first day in Bangalore. It was a great way to get our bearings. The itinerary was as shown and we enjoyed getting a flavour of Brigade Rd, Sultan Tipur’s Summer residence, Bangalore fort and KR flower market. No doubt if we did this alone, we would have only seen one or two sights. Anand was professional, knowledgeable and friendly, and made a special effort to make it interesting for our jet-lagged 8 year old, which we appreciated. Highly recommend!
