Maak kennis met de met uitsterven bedreigde Rothschilds-giraffe in het Giraffecentrum. De tour geeft je de mogelijkheid om met giraffen te communiceren door ze met hun speciale pellets te zien. Je leert ook meer over de verspreiding van giraffensoorten in Kenia en de beschikbare soorten in Kenia. Maak kennis met de weesbabyolifanten terwijl ze hun speciaal samengestelde melkformule ontvangen. Je vindt hier ook het verhaal achter elke olifant, omdat ze verschillende omstandigheden en redenen hebben waarom ze in het opvangcentrum zijn geweest. Wij zullen u een strategische plek bezorgen waar u kunt genieten van de babyolifanten die voorbij komen. Geniet van een waanzinnig bad terwijl de babyolifanten zich verbinden en spelen. Geniet ervan met de keuze uit Nairobi National Park.

Hier krijg je de kans om op persoonlijk niveau in contact te komen met de Rothschild-giraf. Het centrum biedt de mogelijkheid om meer te leren over de Rothschilds-giraf, kenmerken, gedragskenmerken, geografische spreiding en waar het in het centrum allemaal om draait. In het centrum kan men de giraffe voeren met speciale pellets, en ook een lessessie van 40 minuten hebben over de distributie van giraffen in Kenia en Oost-Afrika. Je kunt ook een begeleide natuurwandeling maken door het giraffenreservaat voor een ontspannende natuurlijke sfeer. Men kan foto's maken terwijl ze de giraffen voeren en bekijken.
David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, een speciale organisatie die jonge weesolifanten rehabiliteert. Leer de verhalen achter hoe de olifanten daar zijn gekomen en hoe ze zullen worden verzorgd en het proces van herintroductie van de olifanten terug in het wild. Je zult zien dat de weesbabyolifanten hun speciaal samengestelde melkvoeding krijgen en ook als ze dichtbij zijn de kans krijgen om de olifanten aan te raken.
Vervolgens wordt u naar het Kobe Beads Centre gebracht. Dit is een aardewerkbedrijf dat een van 's werelds mooiste kralen maakt. Je wordt door alle etappes geleid, van start tot finish. Het is ook een unieke liefdadigheidsinstelling, omdat er alleenstaande moeders uit de arme wijken in dienst zijn die de kost verdienen om hun gezin te onderhouden. Het is een vrouwenempowermentcentrum voor de gemeenschap. U heeft de mogelijkheid om voor de lunch te worden gereden en later voor uw vlucht te worden afgezet bij het hotel/appartement of de luchthaven.
(OPTIONEEL) Geniet van Nairobi National Park op slechts 7 km van het bruisende stadscentrum van Nairobi, waar je de kans hebt om 4 van de Big 5 te zien (verwacht de olifant) tegen de achtergrond van de hoge gebouwen van de stad. Nairobi National Park Het allereerste Nationale Park van Kenia is een uniek en ongerept natuurgebied in het zicht van de skyline van de stad. Neushoorns, buffels, cheeta's, zebra's, giraffen, leeuwen en tal van antilopen en gazellen kun je zien rondzwerven in dit open vlakteland met een stuk hooglandbos en stukken gebroken bosgebied, diepe, rotsachtige valleien en kloven met struikgewas en lang gras. Ornithologen vangen meer dan 300 vogelsoorten, waaronder de secretarisvogel, gekroonde kraanvogels, gieren, pikken en nog veel meer. Nadat we van het park hebben genoten, gaan we naar het olifantenreservaat dat nog steeds in het park ligt en genieten van babyolifanten.

Doooooo it!! Stop thinking and book. Now. Fine, you can finish reading but then book it!!!! Our guide Danielle was AMAZING!! What an incredible human being to spend the day with, and it was like he had a magic lamp. You wanna see a lion? Boom! How about a hippo?! Done. The vehicle was spacious, and comfortable. We felt like absolute VIP’s/family the entire day. I cannot recommend it enough. Sooooo glad we were able to fit it in our trip. Now go book!!!

If there’s only one thing you do in Nairobi, it should be this tour! We had a few days in Nairobi before our week long tour through Kenya & Tanzania and it was the best way to start the trip. Kelvin picked us up on time from our hotel and as soon as met him, we knew we were in for a fantastic day. We got to the park nice and early (Tip: definitely organise your National Park ticket before you leave your home country. This saved us so much time and stress, and we went straight in), and had no idea just how incredible this experience would be. We couldn’t believe just how many animals we saw on this game drive: Lions, hyenas, jackals, black & white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocs, cerval, endless types of antelope, warthogs, beautiful birds. It was mind-blowing. Kelvin did his absolute best to get us to each exciting encounter, sharing interesting facts along the way. Next up was the Elephant Orphanage. Kelvin made sure we were standing in the best spot and got up close and personal, with the beautiful babies. After a lovely lunch, we visited the Giraffe Centre and once again Kelvin made sure we got the best photos and experience, feeding the incredible giraffes. This entire day was such a highlight of the trip. Even after doing other game drives throughout Kenya & Tanzania national parks, this is definitely still an experience I would recommend to everyone. Thanks again Kelvin for being such a wonderful guide, getting us to the best spots throughout the day and making our first ever game drive absolutely unforgettable.

We did a private tour of Nairobi National Park, Elephant orphanage, and Giraffe center with Douglas. We had a great time and Douglas was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, birds and history of Nairobi. He made sure that we got to see all walks of life and had enough time to take pictures during each stop. He also pointed out things that we would have missed ourselves. This was our first time in Africa and I highly recommend this experience. Thank you Douglas for an outstanding introduction to Nairobi Kenya!
We had Kelvin as our guide, he was informative, an excellent driver, and was able to help us spot many animals through the national park. He was helpful with paying our park fees under the new fee structure and assisted with issues trying to get them paid and the ticket. Would definitely book again. Then at the elephant orphanage he helped us get a good spot, took us to the giraffe park to feed the giraffes and took us to see some sites in Nairobi since we had more time.
This driver was the best, very informative about thr animals and the park.I would recommend this tour guide to anyone wanting a great tour.

We had a very full day with Kelvin Kaloki of Rustic Nature Tours. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable! Plus he was very accommodating with our group's specific needs and requests. He was also an excellent birder! The Elephant Orphanage is a must. We had just enough time to tour the Giraffe Centre - wish we could have spent more time there!
If you get Kelvin Kaloki as a guide, consider yourself very lucky! Kelvin was simply the best guide we could have asked for, with our group of five women, who wanted to stop at every bird throughout Nairobi National Park. He's a fantastic spotter, really knows the birdlife (not every guide is so expert!) and was extremely knowledgeable about the park and environs. He even found us a two pairs of rhinos, one white and one black, at the same place-- a fantastic bit of luck. Then, when my hat blew off near the white rhinos, he coordinated with another vehicle to retrieve it safely! Kelvin has an infectious enthusiasm about wildlife, and clearly delights in sharing his expertise. With patience and humor, he let us pepper him nonstop with questions. After Nairobi NP, he skillfully navigated Nairobi rush hour to get us to the Giraffe Conservation Center, and the Kobi Tough Bead Center- both wonderful experiences. He truly gave us the best day possible-- A+++!
