Deze 90 minuten durende tour is een fascinerende reis door de beroemde oude stad van Edinburgh en staat onder leiding van een gids die is gepromoveerd op de Schotse geschiedenis, of tientallen jaren ervaring heeft in het leiden van historische tours in de hoofdstad van Schotland. Geniet van de grootsheid van de beroemde Royal Mile met zijn prachtige architectuur, maar bezoek ook de verborgen stegen en binnenplaatsen die net buiten de hoofdstraat liggen, en ontdek hun dramatische verhalen. Kom meer te weten over de wereldberoemde dichters, schrijvers, filosofen en uitvinders die in deze wijk woonden, maar ook over de beruchte dieven, moordenaars en lijkenrovers die na het donker door de straten slopen. De tour is inclusief een tocht door Canongate Kirkyard en een bezoek aan onze ondergrondse gewelven onder South Bridge, waar u ontdekt hoe het is ontstaan en wie daar woonden.

Our guide was excellent and full of interesting information about the underground’s of Edinburgh. My complaint is that the group was too large for the spaces in which she took us. It was difficult to hear (and breathe at times). This tour should be limited to 15 people.
There is alot of walking. Quick pace and steps involved. Bit claustrophobic underground. Interesting stories from our very experienced guide

Wonderful tour with Aurora, she was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Found out so much about Edinburgh that we otherwise would never have discovered. Her enthusiasm was infectious and it was so lovely to hear the history from someone that is so obviously passionate about it. It took an hour and a half and it was completely worth the money. Our guide Aurora (Aurore?) was AMAZING. She brought a depth of boundless historical knowledge, excitement for the subject and storytelling very hard to find in a historical tour. She was funny, patient and understood pacing perfectly. Could not recommend more strongly!
