Ochtend Tibetaanse culturele tour. Vertrek: 05:30 uur Doe mee aan de Tibetaanse culturele tour in Pokhara met dhr. Thupten Gyatso, een deskundige gids. Zijn passie voor het delen van het Tibetaanse erfgoed zorgt voor een verrijkende verkenning. * Bezoek een Tibetaanse vluchtelingennederzetting in de buurt van de Pokhara-vallei. * Woon het vroege ochtendgebed van boeddhistische monniken bij die samen met de monniken zingen en hoor de hoorns, trommels, schelphoorns, trompetten, bellen enz. die tijdens het gebed worden gebruikt. * U wandelt door het dorp en ziet hoe mensen hun dagelijkse leven leiden.

* Je bezoekt een prachtig boeddhistisch klooster waar je een jonge monnik ontmoet die graag inzichten wil delen in het monastieke leven en onderwijs. * Interactieve ervaring: stel gerust vragen om uw begrip van de boeddhistische tradities en het dagelijkse leven van de monniken te verdiepen. * Leg het moment vast: u bent van harte welkom om tijdens uw bezoek foto's en video's te maken, waarbij u de serene schoonheid van het klooster en zijn omgeving vastlegt.
* Je bezoekt een ander boeddhistisch klooster en leert de betekenissen van verschillende boeddhistische tekens en symbolen die zo belangrijk zijn in hun dagelijks leven, zoals gebedsmolens, gebedsvlaggen, stoepa's, enz. * We gaan het klooster binnen en leren en zien dingen in het klooster. Ook binnen en rond het klooster kunt u foto's en video's maken.
Onze gids, dhr. Thupten, neemt je mee naar een ander Tibetaans dorp waar we de onderstaande activiteiten zullen ontdekken. * Je wandelt door het dorp en ziet hoe mensen hun dagelijkse leven leiden. * Ontdek Tibetaanse scholen en hun onderwijssysteem. * Bezoek een tapijtwerkplaats om te zien hoe Tibetaanse tapijten met de hand worden gemaakt. Onze gids, dhr. Thupten, neemt je mee door het proces en legt elke stap in detail uit. * Bezoek de tapijtshowroom om een verscheidenheid aan Tibetaanse tapijten met unieke ontwerpen en kleuren te verkennen. * Ontdek de geschiedenis van Tibetaanse vluchtelingen in een fotogalerij. * Ontmoet een Tibetaanse arts en krijg inzicht in de Tibetaanse geneeskunde en ervaar zelf hoe je je pols kunt lezen. * Geniet van een authentieke Tibetaanse lunch in een lokaal restaurant. * We bieden ook glutenvrij eten aan, zoals gewone rijst en vegetarische/niet-vegetarische curry * Keer om 14.00 uur terug naar de oever van het meer. Wij bieden gratis pick-up en drop-off diensten voor gasten die verblijven in hotels in het Lakeside gebied. Voor hotels buiten Lakeside geldt een kleine extra transporttoeslag op basis van de locatie van het hotel. Geef uw hotelnaam en kamernummer door zodra u geboekt heeft. Eventuele transportkosten kunnen direct na de tour worden betaald.

We had an incredible experience whilst in Pokhara with our guide Thupten. We were new to many concepts in Tibetan Buddhism and culture and through his tour we had interesting discussions with both him and the local community. It was a an excellent tour, especially for those who are new to Tibetan Buddhism and the situation of Tibetan refugees. It was very informative with lots of interesting activities. Thupten was an excellent guide; he explained things very clearly and was very engaging. We enjoyed the prayer chanting. The breakfast was great with delicious homemade bread. We found it very interesting talking with a young monk. Thoroughly recommend the morning tour - or any of Thupten’s tours.

This was one of the best tours I’ve ever had-Thupten was incredible in sharing his knowledge about the Tibetan people, their culture and history. He also shared a lot about Buddhist teachings. The experience featured joining Tibetan Buddhist monks in the morning while they chanted, then eating a local breakfast in a Tibetan home, meeting with a monk to hear his life story, and touring around Tibetan settlement villages. Lunch was also delicious.

We had a beautiful morning learning about Tibetan culture and history with Thupten. We highly recommend booking one of his tours. He was very knowledgeable and the tour allowed us to have traditional breakfast at a Tibetan family home, attend morning prayer and chanting with Monks, and speak 1:1 with a monk about his life experiences. 5 stars! A must-do activity when visiting Pokhara that is suitable in any weather. Booking was really easy through WhatsApp.

This is an amazing tour. To explore and understand Tibetan culture and settlement in Pokhara. Visiting the Tibetan village and tried out their food. It brings you so close to their daily life and cultural. The guide, Mr Thupten provided a fascinating insights into the history and significance of each sites, making the experience even more meaningful. Thupten was a very informational guide and was extremely hospitable. His deep knowledge of tibetan culture and buddhism was eye opening, and changed my outlook on life. I have gained a greater understanding of tebetan culture, and I have agained a deeper appreciation for the lifestyle and history of Tibet. This tour was amazing! I read about it in the lonely planet and was looking for some cultural thing to do around Pokhara so went by there office and booked the morning tour for the next day. Thupten, the guide, was just wonderful. He was able to tell me a lot of things about the history of Tibet, current situation and Buddhism in general. I didn’t expect a lot but got one of the best tours I have ever done. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for cultural education about Tibet and Buddhism.
