Geniet van deze 4 uur durende tour met bezoeken aan de hoogtepunten van de oude stad. Bezoek eerst de prachtige Byzantijnse kerk van St Sophia. Hierna vervolg je naar Hippodrome, het voormalige centrum van sportieve en politieke activiteiten in Constantinopel en de Blauwe Moskee, fantastische blauwe tegels uit de 16e eeuw. Het laatste bezoek van de ochtend is naar de Grand Bazaar.

De blauwe moskee, een van de grootste moskeeën in Istanbul. Dateert uit de 17e eeuw, dit is een van de belangrijkste versieringen aan de skyline van Istanbul en is ook beroemd om zijn blauwe tegels en 6 minaretten.
Grote Bazaar, die naast zijn historische belang een bazaar is die je zal verleiden met zijn rijke collectie kostbare handgemaakte tapijten, sieraden, leer en souvenirs. Tijdens je tour bezoek je ook een leer- of tapijtwinkel.
Hippodrome, het voormalige centrum van sportieve en politieke activiteiten in Constantinopel. Tijdens het bezoek kun je de Obelisk uit Egypte, de Serpentine Column uit Delphi en de fontein van Willhelm II zien.
St. Sophia, een van de mooiste Byzantijnse kerken, en door vele historici het 8e wereldwonder genomineerd.

- Er zijn ten minste 2 personen nodig om deze activiteit te laten plaatsvinden.
- Aangezien de Hagia Sophia geen museum meer is (is omgebouwd tot moskee), hebben gidsen daar geen skip-the-line prioriteit/aanbieding.
- Wij als KARAVAN TRAVEL willen ervoor zorgen dat reizigers er zeker van zijn dat alle noodzakelijke veiligheidsmaatregelen en voorzorgsmaatregelen te allen tijde worden gehandhaafd; er zal handdesinfecterend middel beschikbaar zijn, er zullen maskers worden uitgedeeld, stoelen zullen worden geblokkeerd in bussen, kleinere groepen en er zullen maatregelen voor sociale afstand worden genomen tegen COVID-19-infecties. We zullen de nieuwe regelgeving/beperkingen permanent opvolgen en onze procedures dienovereenkomstig aanpassen.
- Klanten dienen geschikte kleding te dragen en hun eigen hoofddoek mee te nemen voordat ze de Hagia Sophia betreden.
- Belangrijke informatie met betrekking tot de restauratiewerkzaamheden in de Hagia Sophia : Er is momenteel een uitgebreid restauratieproject aan de gang in de Hagia Sophia-moskee om de aardbevingsbestendigheid te verbeteren. Als onderdeel van het project wordt de hoofdkoepel versterkt en wordt een tijdelijke stalen beschermconstructie geplaatst. De restauratie zal naar verwachting ongeveer 3-5 jaar duren. Gedurende deze periode blijft de moskee open voor bezoekers en kunnen gasten de historische mozaïeken blijven bekijken.

Our tour was delayed almost an hour due to change in guide. Then when called they changed the pick up location and we couldn't find it. We needed to use a local stranger to interpret for us to find our driver Very Stressful!

They didn’t tell us where at the part we should meet. It’s a huge port. We waited where the busses pick up but finally we got instructions to meet outside the port. The guide however was excellent.

Our tour turned into a private tour as we were the only guests. How lucky we were! Fatma met us at our hotel as scheduled. We hopped on the tram to Hagia Sophia. Tapped on with our credit cards and off we went. The three major stops, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Hippodrome were all in the same general area. Fatma was knowledgeable about the locations. We walked to the Spice Market and spent about 30 minutes there. That was enough time to make a few purchases. Don't hesitate to ask for a better price on whatever you are looking at. Or just keep walking. She escorted us back to our hotel on the tram and wished us a great vacation. We would highly recommend this excursion.

The hotel pickup worked perfectly and the guide was very friendly and competent. The tour was very nice overall and we got a lot of information. The hippodrome was not so great now because you can't see anything more hippodrome. The highlight is Hagia Sophia. Unfortunately, the weather did not play along, it rained.

Informative guide. Was able to see more than if we had gone by ourselves. Would recommend to visitors to learn about Istanbul.
We took this tour on a Sunday but the booking failed to mention that the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays, so this part of the tour was excluded even though we were charged the full price. This is the reason I’m giving it an average rating. That aside, the other stops were well worth it and our guide Ali was personable and helpful. I recommend this tour if you want something that won’t take up your entire day while still allowing you to see some notable Istanbul landmarks. Just don’t take it on a Sunday!
Not delivered as promised - no transport provided - ended up as a walking tour - 30 mins to another hotel to pick up another elderly couple - added extra sites to visit and chopped others other to suit the guide - then abandoned us half way through the morning to make our our way to the Grand Bazaar because the guide didn't want to go there
Our tour, by luck, turned into a private tour. The transport was clean and professional, and our guide was delightful. Her knowledge of the history and art in the Hagia Sophia was thorough and interesting, and she gave us a good heads up as to what to look at in the Grand Bazaar. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful experience we had, Ali was attentive and knowledgable. He went above and beyond to ensure we got the best out of all the attractions, whilst keeping the expected elements such as queuing to a minimum. This tour gave us the maximum enjoyment for the limited time we had in Istanbul, we cannot recommend this excursion highly enough.
