Een belevenis die u meeneemt naar de prachtige archeologische vindplaats Uxmal, een waar juweel van de Puuc Route. Deze tour is bedoeld voor mensen die zich volledig willen onderdompelen in de geschiedenis, zonder daarvoor de helft van hun dag te hoeven besteden. Tijdens een rondleiding van 1 uur en 20 minuten verkennen we de belangrijkste bouwwerken van de stad, waaronder de indrukwekkende Piramide van de Tovenaar, het elegante kloosterplein en het majestueuze Gouverneurspaleis. Tegelijkertijd leren we over hun betekenis en bouw. Na de rondleiding heeft u 40 minuten vrije tijd om op uw eigen tempo rond te lopen, foto's te maken en de pracht van deze plek te bewonderen. Een van de grote voordelen van deze route is dat we vroeg in Mérida kunnen terugkeren, waardoor u de rest van de middag andere activiteiten kunt ondernemen en plannen kunt maken. Het is de perfecte optie voor geschiedenisliefhebbers die op zoek zijn naar een compleet en efficiënt cultureel avontuur.

In Uxmal gaan we vroeg op verkenning om drukte te vermijden en het meeste uit de site te halen. We zullen een rondleiding krijgen door de Piramide van de Waarzegger en andere wonderen, met vrije tijd waar u van kunt genieten voordat u terugkeert naar Mérida.
We keren terug naar de stad Mérida en laten je achter op het ontmoetingspunt dat je in het begin hebt gekozen.

Very good tour to discover Uxmal without the other activities that all the other agencies offer. Punctuality ++ and comfortable van. Small group of 8 people. The guide was very knowledgeable. We regretted that due to time management issues, the 40 minutes of 'free time' planned to explore the site were reduced to 20 minutes at a brisk pace.
Alex is a nice guide, he gave us a lot of info not only related to Uxmal but to the general mexican culture
Uxmal was incredible. Finding a tour operator who doesn't tack on stops to their brothers gift shop is unheard of so this was extra special. Just a ride to and from Uxmal with a VERY good tour guide. Spent the first half explaining the main area then we were on our own for an hour to explore. My only negative is the van seating is a bit tight for taller people. Timing worked out great - we arrived early and finished when the lines to get in were getting long.
Rosendo provided a historical and mythology context to Uxmal giving the architecture and design a different perspective. The tour was informative and promptly we were in Merida by 1pm. Uxmal is a unique atmosphere with many trees and a peaceful scenery.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and experienced. He gave us a lot of info about not just our tour, but Mexico in general. A lovely visit to some beautiful ruins. A lot of it is shady, which was a pleasant respite from the heat. We reached Uxmal early in the morning, which helped us avoid the sun in the worst part of the day. Lovely place to explore as the grounds are large.
Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Tour guide Rosendo was great ! Spoke English very well and was kind and informative with great energy! We learned so much and truly enjoyed as a family experience. At the pyramids there are clean restrooms and place to buy drink water ice cream and gift shops. No one is bothering you to buy stuff. Book this tour it was great! The tour van is new comfortable and great AC ! You can leave your stuff on the van as you tour family of 6 with age rage of 16 -72!
The ruins at Uxmal are extraordinary, and this was an easy way to see them and to learn about the history. Transport left from the center of Merida and pick up was easy. The entrance fee to the park is not included and about 150 MX needs to be paid in cash. I visited in May when it was hot so, I recommend that you bring a hat, lots of water, sunscreen and bug repellent.

Thank you for the guide's perfect explanation and flexible schedule. Maybe it's better if the other person who was supposed to be on this tour doesn't show up at the meeting point, and if you have poor contact information and specify a more detailed meeting point. The text that came the day before and the time when I booked were different.
We are so used to tours that force you to go to a bad restaurant, a gift shop you have no interest in, etc, so when we found a tour that just took you to Uxmal, showed you around, and then returned you to Merida, we were really pleased. What we hadn’t really expected was the quality of the guide. Kumen picked us up from the hotel and drove us to Uxmal and on the way gave us a deep dive into Mayan history, engaging our questions with an academic level of understanding. We genuinely learned so much off him about the Mayan world, wider mesoamerican history and the Spanish conquest. His English was perfect too. Uxmal itself was also particularly impressive. The carvings are intricate and the main temple imposing. Like many people say, we much preferred it to chichen itza. It is much quieter with nobody harassing you to buy things, and feels truly secluded. This was probably the best experience we booked in Mexico so I recommend it very highly.
