The zoo itself is incredible and worth visiting. However, we found breakfast with the orangutans quite underwhelming. Not at all like the pictures you see while booking the tour. While waiting for pictures, you are able to photograph them which is great. But we did feel very rushed getting our picture taken with the orangutans. And they were not as close to us as some online pictures depict. Didn’t even have a minute to adjust your pose before zoo employee was snapping his camera. Very expensive for a five minute photo that didn’t turn out. Each to their own, but I would say save your money and just spend the day at the zoo.

I was disappointed in this tour as it had originally been billed as 'breakfast with the orangutans' which had been the entire reason I had booked it. When we arrived for the breakfast we were told that Orangutans would not be joining us because their area was being redeveloped - something that had obviously been happening well before I booked the tour. Mohan, who accompanied us up to the Zoo was very personable and knowledgeable, but only accompanied us as far as the cafe for breakfast before we were left to our own devices and to find our own way back into town. We're independent and happy to do that, but I felt that for the cost, this tour didn't represent great value. Communication regarding the absence of orangutans was non-existent. Had I known, I would not have booked this tour.
Dear Wendy, Sincere apologies for the unpleasant experience. Our Tour is represented as "Breakfast In The Wild" because ever since Covid time, all animals are being constraint for their protection as part of Animal Preservation and Welfare. Furthermore, Mandai has been going through a lot of upgrading lately. Our Tour is also with 1-way Transfer & Free and Easy so Tour Guide will only follow and send you to the breakfast area and they will give instructions to the F&B staff so you need not pay for the breakfast. But if the tour is combined with Tour with breakfast and tour without breakfast, the guide will have to attend to those breakfast first and send you to the area. Then they will attend to those without breakfast and walk them around while you have breakfast. After your breakfast the tour Guide usually will ask if you want to join the other group for the walking trail or you prefer to explore on your own. In any case, please accept our apologies. We spent a lot of money on booking this activity to have breakfast with the orangutans only to get there and be told the orangutans won’t be coming to breakfast due to renovations being done in the area Instead they brought out a lizard , an owl and some macaws We come from Australia snd see lizards and owls there every day Very disappointed and would definitely not have done this activity if we had known the orangutangs were not going to be there

Furthermore, Mandai has been going through a lot of upgrading lately. Ah Meng the Orangutan passed away 3 years ago so this is one of the reasons the breakfast with the Orangutan was no longer available. The shows are controlled by the venue itself and we do not have any jurisdiction on what type of tour, duration and theme of their presentation Hoping for your understanding. Best regards Fay
Thoroughly enjoyed it however had done it twice before I felt it has lost some of its appeal with the subtle changes made over the years and the crowd size.
Dear Michael, You are right as there were a lot of changes recently, shifting from old location, upgrading of the venue and additional new highlights. It became very crowded. We just hope it gets better as time passes. Thank you for your kind feedback and review.
Very disorganized as they had a taxi driver take us to meet the group. The taxi was late and drive very wild to get to the group. His driving was unacceptable. Once we Meg the group our guide was great. Don’t expect to get close to any of the animals though

Morning at the zoo, breakfast was fine and there was photo opportunity with various animals. The zoo is a wonderful zoo and the monkeys not caged is lovely ! My only critic is by the time breakfast is finished ( and we left early at 9.30) we had to be back to the driver at 11.30 which was not long enough. Not sure if that was down to our courier as the time started at 12 and then 11.45 then 11.30 . Id probably advise people just to visit zoo under their own steam and not worry about the brekkie bit!

It is a rare privilege to share your breakfast time with such wonderful creatures. It wasn't just Orangutans but also some very cute penguins, parrots and an iguana. We love Singapore Zoo and always try to visit when we are in Singapore. Special mention to Linda who helped arrange pickup at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel which is much more convenient to the cruise terminal. If there is any regret it's we didn't spend longer. (The tiger didn't join us for breakfast but he is such a magnificent beast)

This trip was enjoyable in parts but a little bit rushed. There is so much more to see at the zoo that a morning is not enough. The breakfast with the orangutans was good and you get very close to them although we only saw one. The sea lion show could have been left out as it was mainly geared towards children. That would have given us more time for the train ride around the zoo. It was disappointing that there was no time to get off at the various stops to see the animals. The guide was pleasant but not very knowledgable about the animals. I would recommend a whole day visit to this amazing zoo.
