De Oakland plantagetour is een van de meest magnifieke plantentours in de buurt van New Orleans vanwege de 28 gelijkmatig verdeelde, enorme eikenbomen die van de rivierweg naar het plantagehuis gaan. Het Griekse Revival huis dateert uit 1837. Gelegen op het terrein is een restaurant, smederij, souvenirwinkel en antieke landbouwmachines. De volgende is een rondvaartboottocht - vasthouden aan je hoed! Onze New Orleans Airboat Swamp Tour is een snelheidsavontuur dat deels rondrit en deels rijden is. Onderweg krijg je een persoonlijke rondleiding door je lokale kapitein. Onze airboats hebben stadionstoelen, zodat de persoon vóór u uw zicht niet belemmert. Dus elke zitplaats in een luchtboot is geweldig om de tour te ervaren en de natuur te bekijken.

De Oak Alley Plantation ligt op 70 mijl of ongeveer 1 uur en 10 minuten van de Franse wijk. Reis langs Great River Road en bewonder de vooroorlogse herenhuizen.
Je zult ongeveer 2 uur op de plantage doorbrengen. De rondleiding door het huis duurt ongeveer 35 minuten. De plantagehuisrondleiding Oak Bee wordt verzorgd door Plantage-gidsen. De rest van je tijd zal besteed worden aan zelfonderzoek van het terrein. Als u uw tijd verstandig gebruikt, kunt u voor de lunch een broodje pakken in de cadeauwinkel en nog steeds tijd hebben om het terrein te bewandelen. Je wordt dan naar het moeras-tourstation gebracht voor je volgende avontuur.
Tijdens deze tour ervaar je het beste van beide: een informatieve moerastour en een razendsnelle tocht met een luchtboot. Je reist met hoge snelheden in de moerasboot, vertraagt en stopt voor foto's. Je kapitein geeft je een rondleiding door je leven en legt de cultuur, dieren en de moerassen uit. Je kunt zelfs een nauwe ontmoeting ervaren met een deel van het lokale moerasleven. Let op: de volgorde van de combinatietours kan veranderen op basis van beschikbaarheid en het weer.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
**Je moet voor je locatie staan aan het begin van het ophaalvenster anders wordt de bus gedwongen te vertrekken.** Ophalen bij de meeste grote hotels in het centrum van New Orleans. Als uw hotel niet wordt vermeld, vermeld dan in het opmerkingenveld. Voor ophalingen is er een venster van 30 minuten. Kijk uit naar een bus met Alert Transport. 8 : 15 AM pick-up zal ergens zijn tussen 8 : 15 AM en ongeveer 8 : 45 AM. 10 : 45 uur wordt opgehaald ergens tussen 10 : 45 uur en ongeveer 11 : 15 uur.

Wonderful experience, fun and informative. Our driver and tour guides were friendly and engaging. I would definitely recommend these tours. It was nice to get out of the busy city for a bit and learn more about the history and landscape of the area.
Captain Be Bop is the best! Fabulous tour because he is knowledgeable and interacting. We learned so much and had so much fun because of him. For example, I had a question about flora and made a point of driving out to a spot in the swamp to explain and show the response. In my opinion, he was the perfect ambassador to share the beauty and secrets of the swamp. Additionally, he threw in friendly chatter about the local culture and fish cooking tips. The self guided tour at the plantation was good but not what we expected. Only house had a guided tour. The property was beautiful and the gifts hope staff so friendly. The Airboat tour was amazing but uou are taken by bus to another bus for this part of the tour. This is not explained in the booking so it was a little confusing. The airboat was absolutely hands down worth it. Captain Duey was amazing and so much fun. I would ask for him hands down
Easy pick up and well organised, our driver was great, friendly and talked along the route about the history. The plantation was amazing, gave you insight into life of the owners. The actual tour is very good, could have little more time to view certain areas. The swamp tour and small boat was brilliant, saw the alligators, the guide was very knowledgeable.
This was a great day. The plantation tour was fascinating. It is good that the reality of the past is kept for us to learn from. We must honour and give tribute to all those slaves who lived in such devastating conditions. The aliigator tour was great fun. I was very impressed by the care and respect our tour guide has for these awesome critters. I don't remember his name, but he grew up in the area, still lives there and has a teenage daughter. He was terrific. We saw lots of alligators and saw so much. I have no idea how the tour guides do not get lost in the swamp :)
This was a great experience, start to finish. The bus ride and drivers were excellent. They picked us up right near our hotel and were right on time. The plantation was lovely. It’s not a huge place to see but it gave you a great feel of what plantation life was like. The Airboat tour with the alligators I cannot say enough about! It was amazing. The guide was knowledgeable and very fun to talk to. The ride out on the water didn’t disappoint. We saw at least 10 alligators along the way and stopped on one area to see them up close. It was worth the cost of this trip for sure!!! I’d highly recommend!
First time visiting New Orleans & this combo tour was AMAZING. I liked that they offered curbside hotel pickup & our driver was super friendly. Oak Alley Plantation was beautiful & learning about the history was insightful. Mansion tour was pretty brief. If you're doing the afternoon combo tour, I recommend checking out the grounds & gift shop PRIOR to touring the "big house." That way you can get a snack before heading off to the swamp tour. The swamp tour was the best! Our guide was Dewey Bruce. He was highly knowledgeable & very funny. We saw several gators & even got to hold & pet one (named Louis). The scenery included typical Louisiana bayou imagery with low lying trees & water. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience & would highly recommend & book with this tour company again.
