We halen gasten op bij de meeste hotels in Waikiki en rijden over de Kalakaua Ave Road, waar je het prachtige Waikiki-strand kunt zien en het standbeeld van Duke Kahanamoku, de god van het surfen. Waikiki verwelkomt jaarlijks ongeveer 6 miljoen bezoekers van over de hele wereld.
Diamond Head is een vulkanische krater die meer dan 300.000 jaar geleden werd gevormd. Het is nu een van de meest populaire toeristische attracties in Oahu. We stoppen bij het uitkijkpunt op Diamond Head Beach Road zodat u kunt genieten van het landschap van het strand en het strandpark.
Kahala staat bekend als Beverly Hills of Hawaii en is de thuisbasis van enkele van de rijkste inwoners van Hawaï. Beroemde mensen en beroemdheden hebben vakantiehuizen in dit gebied.
Leonard Rego Jr, een zoon van Portugese immigranten naar Hawaï, opende Leonard's Bakery in de jaren 50 in Honolulu en maakte het Portugese gefrituurde deeggebak, Malasadas, populair. Tegenwoordig zijn malasadas een hoofdgebakje geworden in Hawaï. Er wordt één originele Malasada per persoon verstrekt.
Hanauma Bay Lookout, beroemd om zijn prachtige natuurlijke landschap, ligt aan de zuidoostkust van het eiland Oahu. Het is een kegelvormige vulkanische baai en het mariene ecosysteem vol koraalriffen en vissen gedijt hier goed.
Halona Blowhole is een rotsformatie gevormd door lavastromen die duizenden jaren geleden natuurlijke gaten in de rotsen hebben gemaakt. De rotsformatie schiet het zeewater de lucht in als het tij sterk en winderig is. Naast de Blowhole ligt het Eternity Beach, waar From Here to Eternity is opgenomen.
Sandy Beach, ook wel bekend als Breakneck Beach onder de lokale bevolking, is een populaire plek voor bodysurfen. Zoals de naam al aangeeft, veroorzaken grote kustbreuken veel verwondingen bij onervaren bodysurfers. Dit is de eerste toiletstop.
We passeren het meest oostelijke punt in Oahu, waar je Rabbit Island kunt zien, gelegen voor de kust van Makapu'u Point.
Waimanalo is de thuisbasis van veel inheemse Hawaiianen. Het is een rustige buurtstad in vergelijking met andere plaatsen op het eiland.
Als een van de verborgen juweeltjes in Oahu werd de Byodo-In-tempel in 1968 voltooid om de 100ste verjaardag van de eerste Japanse immigrant naar Hawaï te herdenken. Het werd gebouwd om een boeddhistische tempel, Byōdō-in, in Japan te repliceren. De tempel is ook te zien in het Amerikaanse drama LOST.
Tropical Farm Macadamia Nut ligt aan de oostkust van Oahu en is een geweldige plek om cadeaus en snacks te kopen. De outlet biedt proeverijen van Kona Coffee en Macadamia Nut.
Kualoa Regional Park is een beroemde fotoplek met op de achtergrond een klein eiland genaamd Mokoli'I. Mokoli'I, ook bekend als Chinaman's Hat voor de lokale bevolking vanwege zijn unieke vorm, is een basalteilandje. Dit wordt weer een toiletpauze
Het populaire eten van Hawaï, Garlic Shrimp Plate, wordt geserveerd voor de lunch met sap bij een van de foodtrucks in Kahuku, aan de noordkust van Oahu.
Pupukea is een kleine gemeenschap in de North Shore. Pupukea staat bekend om het unieke strand en het landschap. Het is vooral populair onder de lokale bevolking en wordt beschouwd als een verborgen juweeltje.
Dole Plantation is een van de populairste toeristische attracties van Oahu en verwelkomt meer dan een miljoen bezoekers per jaar. Er zijn veel unieke souvenirartikelen in de cadeauwinkel. Vergeet niet de verfrissende Dole Whip te proberen!
We stoppen voor nog een koffiepauze bij Green World Coffee Farms. Bij het proefstation kun je verschillende koffiesmaken proeven.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
We halen op bij de meeste hotels in Waikiki tussen 7:50-8:20 AM. We halen niet op bij alle hotels en cruiseschiphavens, omdat de ophaalinformatie kan afwijken van uw boekingsbevestiging, we hebben wel aangewezen ophaalzones in Waikiki. We informeren u exacte ophaaltijd en locatie via Viator messenger of sms/bel 1-2 dagen voor de tour. Houd er rekening mee dat we minimale passagiers nodig hebben om de tour uit te voeren en 1 dag voor de tour bevestigen. Als het minimum niet wordt gehaald, kan de tour worden verplaatst of terugbetaald. Als u buiten Waikiki verblijft, wijs dan Ala Moana Hotel toe als uw ophaallocatie en plan om ons daar te ontmoeten. Uw Pick-up locatie zal uw drop-off locatie zijn. Als u vragen hebt, stuur ons dan een bericht op Viator-platform en we nemen binnen 48 uur contact met u op.

Guide was very nice and friendly. He showed us around the island. We enjoyed his company. The tour did include a shrimp truck lunch but didn’t include coffee or beer as advertised. You will have to pay for those yourself. However, our guide did treat us to a Leonard’s donut which was absolutely delicious.

This is a great tour of Oahu. JP the tour guide is knowledgeable with history and current events of the island. We stop at all the locations without being rushed. The food spots were great and local.

We had a great day! Our guide, Tyler, was excellent. He had so much Hawaiian history and facts to share that made our tour wonderful. We made many stops and were able to taste some great Hawaiian foods. The shrimp stand we stopped at was great! We enjoyed cracking open macadamia nuts and trying local coffee! Would highly recommend.

Tyler was knowledgeable, patient, and fun! All the food choices were delicious, especially the lunch place (wish I could remember the name of it). You could tell the shrimp was super fresh and well seasoned, but my favorite part it was away from most of the crowds. We got to tailor some parts of the tour based on most of the group's interests, so that was nice
