Oʻahu Privé Helikopter Ervaring : Alle stoelen bij het raam

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Oʻahu! We booked the Oʻahu Private Helicopter Experience with Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours, and the experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The best part was that we flew without doors, which made the experience feel completely different from a regular helicopter tour. It was thrilling, but at the same time, we always felt safe and comfortable. Having unobstructed views made it possible to really appreciate the incredible scenery of Oʻahu from above. Our pilot was excellent — very professional, attentive, and clearly experienced. He made us feel comfortable throughout the flight and did a great job pointing out different places and explaining what we were seeing. You could tell that safety was a priority, while still allowing us to enjoy the experience to the fullest. The views were simply spectacular. Seeing Oʻahu’s coastline, mountains, valleys, beaches, and the incredible colors of the island from the air was something we’ll remember for a long time. The all-window-seat setup was also a big advantage because everyone had a great view and nobody felt like they were stuck in an inferior seat. If you’re visiting Oʻahu and looking for something special rather than just another sightseeing activity, I highly recommend this experience. Flying without doors was an unforgettable experience, the pilot was fantastic, and the views were breathtaking. Definitely one of the experiences I’d do again!

Spectacular and breathtaking. You have to try without the doors on it's the closest thing to flying like a bird, you will get. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!!

It is a must do in Oahu. Panoramic views of everything important on the island. Pearl Harbor, Diamond head, downtown Honolulu, the north shore. All of it looks awesome from the air.

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We felt at ease the entire experience. The office location was easy to find with good signage. The tour was amazing!

My husband and I took the tour with doors off and I loved it! It was cloudy and a bit rainy so we did have to deviate slightly from the usual route, but it was absolutely gorgeous and we didn't feel at all short-changed. Our pilot was Lorenzo (I think... I'm so bad with names) and we felt incredibly safe the whole time.

We booked a helicopter tour with this company on May 10, 2026, for May 23, 2026. When I made the reservation, I carefully ensured there was room for three people on the helicopter and that each passenger's weight was within the limits. When I booked the reservation, I had to give each passenger's name and weight. I did not hear back from the company; I assumed all was OK. The day before the excursion, the company called me and said they could not accommodate the weight limit, and either one person could not go or we could wait for a larger helicopter. We were leaving in two days, and there was no window for additional reservations. One person did sit out, which was very disappointing. You don't take a trip to Hawaii every day, and they had the weight information way before the flight. They could have advised that they could not accommodate three people, and I would have made other arrangements. Not wait until the day before the flight. In addition, it is taking forever to get a credit back for the person who was left behind. If you have more than two people, I would be cautious using this company. Very disappointing for the person left behind.
