NYC: Treinreis met Sleepy Hollow en loopbrug over Hudson

Onze tour begint in het centrum van Midtown. Vanaf Grand Central nemen we Metro North naar Tarrytown en Sleepy Hollow. Daar verkennen we dit historische gebied en leert u over de beroemdste inwoner: Washington Irving. Volg het pad van Ichabod Crane en de Headless Horseman. We bezoeken de Oud-Hollandse Begraafplaats en Kerk. Na een korte koffie- en gebakpauze maken we een majestueuze treinrit naar Poughkeepsie waar u het nieuwe juweel van de rivier, de Walkway Over the Hudson, kunt ervaren. We nemen een korte liftrit naar de top waar u een ongelooflijk uitzicht krijgt. Van daaruit nemen we de trein terug naar de Hudson Highlands waar we het charmante dorpje Cold Spring bezoeken. U ervaart uitzicht op West Point en de steile kliffen van Storm King. De tour eindigt hier, maar uw dag hoeft niet te eindigen - breng de dag hier door of ga naar een andere stad!

Krijg een overzicht van een van de meest historische treinstations in de VS. In de grote zaal staren we naar de sterren. Daarna bezoeken we de fluistergalerij.
Ontdek Tarrytown, een schilderachtig dorpje direct aan de Hudson. Tarrytown heeft fantastisch werk verricht door de rivier naar de mensen te brengen. Zie een prachtig uitzicht op de Tappan Zee en de vuurtoren van Sleepy Hollow.
Sleepy Hollow in Autumn is anders dan alle andere steden in Amerika. Hier bezoeken we sites die beroemd zijn geworden door het epische verhaal van Washington Irving, The Legend of Ichabod Crane. We bezoeken de Headless Horseman Bridge and Monument en de Oud-Hollandse Kerk en haar kerkhof.
Na een eeuwenlange treinreis komen we aan in Poughkeepsie om misschien wel het grootste juweeltje van de Hudson te bezoeken: de Walkway Over the Hudson. We worden weggevoerd via lift 300 voet naar de top van de loopbrug en ervaar een adembenemend uitzicht op de rivier en Hudson Valley. Gasten op eerdere tours hebben verklaard dat de Walkway is een van de meest geweldige plaatsen waar ze ooit zijn geweest.
Na een mooie rit op Metro North komen we aan in Cold Spring, een mooi dorpje in de Hudson Highlands. Het landschap is prachtig en de stad biedt grote antiekwinkels en plaatsen om een hapje te eten. Vanaf hier ben je vrij om terug te gaan naar NYC, te blijven en Cold Spring te verkennen, of naar een andere stad langs de rivier te gaan!

Me and my son had an amazing time on this trip! This tour is a nice addition to the NYC long weekend, taking a daybreak from the city rush.
