Gharb Soheil is a charming Nubian village located on the west bank of the Nile, reachable by boat in about 30–40 minutes. It is famous for its brightly coloured houses, decorated with traditional designs, and for the artisan markets where you can find spices, clothes and local products. During the visit you can enter a typical Nubian house, taste green tea and karkadè and discover a curious custom: the presence of small live crocodiles, bred as a symbol of protection and good luck. The village offers an authentic insight into Nubian culture, distinct from Egyptian culture, with its own traditions, language and music that make the experience unique and engaging.
Had a good time in the moto boat. Village is colour full. Main attraction is the pet crocodiles. Go for it only if you have leisure time. Our guide Abo Joudy made it memorable with his witty banter and small kartoosh gift.
thank you for visiting us and making your trip. We’re glad that you found what you were looking for. It is our goal that you are always happy with what you do with us. Hope to see you again in Egypt.
It was a pretty nice experience, relaxed and chilling. Our guide Mohamed was so nice and always answered our questions. Also he gives you some time to have a refreshing bath on the Nile River beach.

Tour guide, Manal, met me at my hotel, and we walked a short distance to the waiting motorboat that takes you to Nubian Village. She was very nice and had a good relationship with the motorboat operator, so I was offered the option to visit the motorboat operator's village in the 'old' Nubian Village. It was great! The original homes were amazing, and visiting with the Nubian family in their home was a very touching experience. I am sure that visiting the 'new' Nubian Village would also be a great experience, the colorful homes are beautiful, and the people who live in the Village are very warm and welcoming. Definitely a great side tour if you have the time.

They advertise Nubian Village in Aswan with beautiful photos of colorful houses, people in local costumes on the streets, they say that if you see crocodiles, you will have incredible experiences and when you get there it is just disappointment. There are half a dozen sadly colored houses, with a very simple architecture and different from what they promise to show, I saw two crocodiles trapped, each, in a 2x2 well (absurd!). I read on several forums that it wasn't worth it and people were disappointed, so I paid to see it. I lost US$60.00 for a tour that is not worth US$10.00.
We left from the port of Aswan, accompanied by our very friendly, competent and patient guide Ali Elbody, aboard a very colorful and characteristic small motor boat. During the journey we enjoyed the beautiful landscape that nature and local fauna gave us. Truly a marvel!! We reached the first cataract and stopped shortly thereafter in a place where for a few minutes we could listen to the sounds of nature and nothing else! Finally in the distance we see the first colors of blue, white, yellow and green.... Characteristic of Nubian buildings.... lots of children and street vendors will welcome you "they are never missing even when sailing" but that's another story!!! We saw the crocodiles, took photos and caught one of them, drank the mint tea prepared by the landlady and visited their home!!!! I highly recommend it, wonderful experience!!!

It's my third time travelling to Egypt. This time April of this year, I went with Nile King Tours. I told them what I wanted and they sorted everything out for me. I was met at Luxor Airport by the tour guide Gad. He was a very nice man and his knowledge of Egypt was amazing. On the first day of the visit, I met some other people. Now we're a party of ten. Gad took us to visit places like. Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings and Edfu Temple and that's only some of the places I visited. As I said, Gads knowledge was amazing. His English was also quite good and he explained things to make it easy to understand. He was always very professional at all times, and he spoke passionately about his work. I had the most wonderful experience. Gad even started out my flight to go to Cairo to meet friends. I have already recommended Nile King Tours to my friends and I'll definitely travel with them again.
The boat ride down and back was wonderful our guide Abdo was wonderful, very informative and patient with 2 old ladies!

Our day at the Nubian village was arranged by Karam and was the perfect introduction to Aswan. The boat ride on the Nile, visiting the markets and the Nubian home, hibiscus tea, henna tattoos, holding a crocodile and sampling their food was incredible. The big highlight of the day was riding camels together up into the desert during sunset. We laughed and giggled and couldn’t believe we were sharing all of this together in Egypt. Afterwards, we enjoyed a beautiful ride on the top of the boat back to where we started. The experience was wonderful and I cannot thank Karam enough for organizing the tour and joining us as our guide. He does such an excellent job of taking care of his families. I wouldn’t ever hesitate to recommend him!

Karam was AMAZING!!! He was patient and knowledgeable. He took us around and gave us a little extra with our tour. We had nubian tea with the Nubians and it was such a great, liberating experience.
