Een uitzicht op het enorme 'White Horse of Kilburn' (97m breed) Het paard is meer dan 100 jaar geleden uitgehouwen in de zandsteen. (gelieve niet te bedenken dat we het paard vanuit de minibus zullen zien en niet van dichtbij zullen wagen)
Een stop bij Byland Abbey. Een gotisch klooster dat de inspiratie vormde voor het ontwerp voor York Minster Rose Window
Bezoek aan de prachtige, bruisende markt Town of Helmsley (Once my Home) Hier kunt u uw benen strekken, iets eten en gebruik maken van de toiletten.
Een korte stop bij dit prachtige kleine dorpje waar je vaak schapen de wegen ziet overnemen
We reizen over een deel van het North York Moors National Park waar u de schoonheid en rust van dit uitgestrekte heidegebied kunt waarderen
Vanaf Goathland Village ziet Greg je veilig op de stoomtreinrit (enkele reis) naar Whitby en wacht op je op het perron om je te begroeten voordat je wat vrije tijd in de stad hebt.
Ongeveer 2 uur om in Whitby op uw gemak door te brengen. U kunt Whitby Abbey bezoeken, fish and chips eten of gewoon de sfeer van de haven opsnuiven met vissersboten langs de grote pieren.

Nice, laid-back tour. There were only four people on the tour, which felt perfect, and there was a good balance between being guided and being left on our own. I wish we had a little bit more time on the moors, but on the whole, it was well-paced and way easier than trying to figure out how to get to all these places on our own.

Our tour with Greg at All Tours Great & Small was fantastic and would recommend to everyone. Greg was very friendly, low key, and accommodating. He had many insights into the history, landscape and local way of life that he shared along the way. The van was very comfortable, smooth ride and clean. Having a small group tour vs the larger vans/buses we saw with other services was a real plus. The drive through the Yorkshire country side was gorgeous and the various stops along the way felt like “hidden gems”. Highly recommend Greg and All Tours Great and Small!

Greg is an amazing driver and guide. Full of knowledge of York and its area. The whole trip was excellent Greg changed the timings slightly at our request so we could spend a short time in Goathland taking photos of the Heartbeat location. He saw us on board the steam train and met us at Whitby Station to arrange final pick up. Can highly recommend.

We booked a Whitby day trip from York with a big family group including elderly and kids. was amazing. Trip guide Greg was so friendly, full of local knowledge, and made sure everyone was comfortable. Whitby was beautiful but the guide made it unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Greg picked us up at the agreed place and time. He is very interesting and knowledgeable. We stopped at many interesting places along the way. The train was really great stepping back to bygone years. I'm sure the Harry Potter fans would like it. We also liked the small group tour because we were not just a number as you are on large coach tours. Greg was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting he also made us feel relaxed which made the tour more enjoyable. I would book this trip again.

A wonderful day out. The day trip was amazing, one which we will remember for a long time. Mark, our driver and guide was fantastic. A really nice guy and very knowledgeable. We had a fabulous day with Greg on one of his small group tours. He really helped me out with my booking when I had a small problem and I knew from them that we had made the right booking for our trip. His minivan was really comfortable his knowledge of the local area absolutely brilliant. The places we costed were beautiful with lots of opportunities to stall for photos. We have been coming to York for a few years now and always fancied going to Whitby. Now we don't drive, so it seemed too far on a regular train or bus. But then I went on Trip Advisor and found this company All Trips Great and Small. Amazing. And Greg was fantastic. We were picked up in York by air con mini bus. Now, the trip did change slightly, as no steam trains were allowed due to the hot weather and risk of wild fires. Understandable. Visited Byland Abbey, then onto Hemsley, going through lots of other places. Over the Moors, then met the diesel train at Aidensfield from Heartbeat. Real name Goathland. Train to Whitby was a joy. Whitby itself was very busy, so much to do, so chose a few ideas that Greg had given us. Most happy with a ring with Whitby Jet. So highly recommend any tours with this company. Can't wait to go again.
