De Notre Dame trekt jaarlijks miljoenen bezoekers en de algemene toegangslijn kan zich urenlang uitstrekken rond het plein. Deze tour maakt gebruik van gereserveerde groepstoegang met een geplande toegangstijd, zodat je met je Gids naar binnen stapt in plaats van te wachten met de menigte. Een korte wachttijd kan nog steeds van toepassing zijn, maar uw bezoek begint op tijd. In 1,5 uur tijd laat een Expert Gids de geschiedenis van de kathedraal tot leven komen. Je bestudeert de Westgevel en de drie grote portalen, en gaat dan naar binnen naar de glas-in-loodramen, het hoofdaltaar en de zijkapellen met kaarslicht, en de hoge gewelfde plafonds die de Notre Dame een blauwdruk maakten voor gotisch design in heel Europa. Stap terug naar buiten voor de laatste waarnemingen van de torens en geveldetails. Uw tour eindigt waar het begon, bij het standbeeld van Karel de Grote, waardoor u op steenworp afstand van Sainte-Chapelle, het Quartier Latin en de oevers van de Seine komt.

The refurbished edifice is spectacular. The guide was knowledgeable but much of what he said was unintelligible. This tour NEEDS quiet boxes with a good microphone for the guide.
