Tijdens deze tour bezoek je niet alleen de plaatsen waar GOT is gefilmd, maar leer je ook over de geschiedenis van Split. Het is een perfecte combinatie voor een oude geschiedenis en GOT buff! Je gids is niet alleen een ervaren lokale gids, maar ook een echte GOT-fan die je zal vermaken met interessante verhalen uit de opnames van de serie.Sightseeing begint in de kelders van het monumentale paleis van Diocletianus. Het paleis werd gebouwd in 305 na Christus als rusthuis van de Romeinse keizer. Zijn paleis, een UNESCO-werelderfgoed, vormde de basis van het huidige Split. In de serie werden de straten van Split en de kelders van het paleis van Diocletianus omgevormd tot Meereen, de stad die Daenerys veroverde en waarin ze de slaven bevrijdde. Tijdens de tour bezoeken we waar de gevechten tussen de Unsullieds en Sons of the Harpy werden gefilmd, waar Daenerys de draken opsloot en vele andere filmlocaties. Aan het einde krijgt u de kans om op een echte troon te zitten.

We vervolgen onze sightseeing in de kelders van het monumentale paleis van Diocletianus. In de serie werd het omgevormd tot Meereen. Toegangsbewijs is niet inbegrepen en dient bij binnenkomst betaald te worden. Volwassenen 7 Eur/per persoon, kinderen en senioren 2,5 Eur/per persoon

De kathedraal van Sint-Domnius werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd als mausoleum van keizer Diocletianus.
Peristyle is een prachtig plein in het midden van het paleis. het maakte deel uit van een complex gewijd aan religie en aan de aanbidding van Diocletianus.
We gaan het museum niet binnen omdat de scènes uit de show op straat buiten het museum zijn gefilmd.

Victoria, our guide, was an absolute pleasure. She was as knowledgeable about the palace and Split in general. I would highly recommend this tour. Her photo book helped us remember the game of thrones scenes that were shot in and around the palace. At the end she recommended other places to visit while we were in Split. She made us feel very welcomed.

Excellent tour! Viktoria is very knowledgeable and friendly. She took my family of 4 on a Game of Thrones inspired tour of Split. She knows a lot about GOT and had a book of pictures from the show so we could recall specific scenes as we toured places where the show was filmed. We also learned a lot from her about Split and Croatia! She is fabulous for all ages. Highly recommend!!
Our private tour of Split with Viktoria, our Guide, was brilliant! We were skilfully led around places of interest and areas you would not necessarily find yourselves. Viktoria provided an overview of the City’s incredible history with an impressive depth of knowledge and detail, delivered with enthusiasm and humour. Game of Thrones locations were highlighted and accompanied with salient facts, amusing anecdotes and pictures depicting scenes from the series to jog your memories. Any questions were answered informatively and honestly and as we exchanged personal experiences, were rewarded with an appreciation of Croatia’s history and way of life. From the moment we met our guide Viktoia and she outlined our tour, we knew it was going to be a fun ride! We are a family of GOT fans but also enjoy local history of places we visit. She provided us the perfect amalgam of both as she herself is a GOT fan as well as a knowledgeable historian.
