De tour kan langer dan 4 uur duren, aangezien Thor Travel die extra mijl zal doen om het noorderlicht te vinden. We zullen er alles aan doen om het noorderlicht te vinden. Thor Travel heeft een 4x4-auto die verder kan rijden dan de stadslichten, naar plaatsen waar de meeste toeristen niet heen kunnen. Daarom is onze Northern Light-tour uniek voor veel andere tours. Een prachtig noorderlichtavontuur in IJsland - een van de beste plaatsen om de Aurora Borealis te zien Het noorderlicht of Aurora Borealis moet een van de meest fantastische fenomenen van de natuur zijn. Het is pure magie om deze lichten door de poollucht te zien dansen. Het vinden van het noorderlicht kan lastig zijn, het is een combinatie van factoren, waaronder de ervaring van de gids. Maar ondanks al onze expertise en het gebruik van moderne technologie, krijgen we het noorderlicht soms gewoon niet te zien, daarom noemen we het een jacht op het noorderlicht. Houd er rekening mee dat deze tour afhankelijk is van de weersomstandigheden en dat waarnemingen niet gegarandeerd zijn.

Our travel guide Bjarni (BG) for short was amazing! His knowledge of Icelandic culture and history was wonderful. He had a great personality, was very helpful and had a great sense of humor. We travel for 6 days with BG around the Golden Circle and southern part of Iceland. He took us to all the hot spots of Iceland and even some of the secret ones that only locals know about. It was truly an amazing and breathe taking experience. Definitely will be using Thor Travel again. Already planning our next trip with Thor Travel for the full Iceland Ring Road experience ,can't wait. Thanks again for an amazing experience BG. I had a fantastic experience with Thor Travel. I spent a week with friends seeing many of the magical sites in Iceland, with the Northern Lights being the highlight. BG was our guide/operator. He has a wealth of knowledge about history, geography, culture, language, cuisine etc. He made our trip seamless. We could relax and know that every detail was covered and that nothing would be missed. BG should be the International Spokesperson of Iceland. He is THAT good!!

BG from Thor Travel provided us with the most authentically Icelandic experience! Knowledgeable, friendly, funny , and personable ! While you can’t control Mother Nature, I’m pretty sure BG has some pull with the weather. Literally going the extra mile (further out of town) to ensure less interruptions and darker conditions for optimal viewing. Book with Thor for the Northern Lights experience your imagination has created. BG is also safety focused, I felt comfortable the entire time.

Our 8-day Ring Road tour with Bjarni (BG) was the trip of a lifetime. From the moment we met, it was clear that this wasn't just another bus tour—it felt like traveling Iceland with a knowledgeable local friend who genuinely cared about giving everyone the best possible experience. BG's knowledge of Iceland is incredible. Whether it was geology, history, wildlife, local culture, or hidden gems along the route, he always had fascinating stories and insights to share. Every day BG kept us informed through a WhatsApp group with maps, daily plans, and useful information for the next day's adventures. The success is based on the weather conditions. If they are good, they will depend on your guide and where their vehicle can take you. BG was a wonderful guide. Even though we were the only ones who booked he still took us out bringing hot cocoa and twisted doughnuts (kleina). After a brief spotting he encouraged us to wait a little longer and we were treated to a beautiful display.

If you are here for the northern lights it will be up to the weather but having BG as our guide was a huge success! He hosted us with hot cocoa and Icelandic doughnuts and navigated is to his preferred spot. Sure enough…the Nordic gods were watching and we were treated with a beautiful display. BG encouraged us to wait a little longer and we experienced the most spectacular showing. Photo was from an iPhone…camera photos are even better. This is a must see and do especially with Thor Travel and their Luxury vehicle
