Uw tour begint met een handige pick-up direct bij de cruiseterminal in Le Havre, gevolgd door een schilderachtige rit van 2 uur naar uw eerste stop
U vervolgt uw reis naar Pointe du Hoc, dit gebied staat als een van de meest dramatische en belangrijke D-Day bezienswaardigheden. Gelegen op hoge kliffen tussen Utah en Omaha Beaches, was deze site een zwaar versterkte Duitse positie. Op 6 juni 1944 beklommen de US Army Rangers dapper de kliffen onder vijandelijk vuur om de artillerie te neutraliseren. Bezoekers kunnen vandaag de dag bomkraters, bunkers en het monument gewijd aan de buitengewone moed van de Rangers verkennen. Duur : 1 uur Toegangsbewijs gratis
Ga daarna naar Omaha Beach en passeer 8 km van de kust met uitzicht op het Engelse Kanaal. Aan wal vind je een beeldhouwwerk genaamd Les Braves ‘The Braves’ ter ere van de soldaten die in de oorlog hebben gevochten. Er is een mogelijkheid om te stoppen voor een snelle lunch in de buurt van Omaha Beach.
Vervolg vervolgens de tour naar de Normandy American Cemetery om hulde te brengen aan de strijders van de strijd. Het bezoekerscentrum biedt een gedetailleerde tentoonstelling over de oorlog. Dit zal onze laatste stop zijn voordat we vertrekken voor een rit van 2 uur terug naar de haven of uw hotel.

- Lunch aan boord : Als onderdeel van uw excursie aan wal kunt u genieten van een heerlijke lunch met een vers gemaakte Franse sandwich van een lokale Le Havre-bakker, flessen water en een zoete lekkernij (seizoensgebonden appel of yoghurt). Een ontspannen en bevredigende vakantie waar zowel volwassenen als kinderen dol op zullen zijn. Gelieve ons ten minste 72 uur voor de tour op de hoogte te stellen van eventuele dieetwensen (vegetarisch, glutenvrij, enz.), zodat we u kunnen accommoderen.

This was a tour from our cruise ship which also offered a similar tour. This tour was better in that there were only 12 people on the large full sized bus. We went to Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. The Guide was arrogant and did not communicate well. He got our lunches from the bus and took them to the top of a rock, talked for awhile about Omaha Beach and then told us to find a place to eat and come back to the bus when we were done. There was nowhere to sit - no benches or anywhere to eat! The Guide simply seemed bothered to be there - like he was doing us a big favor. Then we went to the American Cemetery which was awe inspiring. The bus trip back was on time and uneventful.

Easy to meet representative. Bus transportation was new and clean. Tour guide was the best in the business and he really spent time making sure everyone understood the D-Day invasion timeline. Lunch that was provided was good and we ate lunch on Omaha Beach

Philip was incredibly knowledgeable and we had a great tour. My only suggestion is that the tour says 830 but the email the company sent said 800. Some on the tour didn’t get the email so we were a little late. But highly recommend!

I would give this tour 10 stars if I could. Thierry our driver and Anne-Sophie our guide were exceptional, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to be with. We learned and saw so much more than we expected, and certainly more than we would have during a standard excursion tour. I cannot recommend them enough.

What a wonderful day with our driver, Sache, and our guide, Elise, in Normandy from our cruise ship. Sache was right on time to pick us up from the cruise terminal. We picked up our guide close to Normandy. Elise was bright, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We visited the German Cemetery, the American Cemetery, Pont du Hoc, Omaha Beach, Gold Beach with the remnants of the Mulberry Docks, a German gun battery with the guns still in place and at the end a Commonwealth (British and Canadian) Cemetery. Elise had numerous photos and information to highlight every site. We dropped Elise in Bayeaux and Sache had us back to the ship right on time. This was a great day. We received what we paid for and it was worth the expense.

The points of interest were excellent. Better organization at bus pick up would have helped make the day more pleasant. It took nearly 30 minutes for everyone to find the Viator representative and bus. Our tour guide Philip, who was very knowledgeable, rushed us at Omaha Beach, giving us 20 minutes to eat lunch and take pictures. Also, we were under the impression that we would be stopping at the Normandy museum which didn't happen.
