Na 2 uur rijden op het platteland van Normandië, is uw eerste stop bij Point du Hoc, waar u de talrijke bomkraters zult zien die sinds de oorlog onaangeroerd zijn gebleven. Klim door de verschillende bunkers om te zien hoe de Duitsers de kliffen in hun voordeel gebruikten en stel je voor hoe de Amerikanen de batterij aanvielen en veroverden nadat ze de kliffen hadden beklommen.
Ga daarna naar Omaha Beach en passeer 8 km van de kust met uitzicht op het Engelse Kanaal. Aan wal vind je een beeldhouwwerk genaamd Les Braves ‘The Braves’ ter ere van de soldaten die in de oorlog hebben gevochten. Er is een mogelijkheid om te stoppen voor een snelle lunch in de buurt van Omaha Beach.
Vervolg vervolgens de tour naar de Normandy American Cemetery om hulde te brengen aan de strijders van de strijd. Het bezoekerscentrum biedt een gedetailleerde tentoonstelling over de oorlog. Limo too cramped for 6 people. Seats face each other with not enough room in between people. Air conditioning inadequate. Driver not friendly.

Excellent tour. We were 6 people. We had Jlani as our driver and Sunny as our guide. Jlani made sure he picked us up on time and brought us to within steps of our stops. Sunny was passionate about DDay and the events. She explained and made sure we saw the important details. She had photos and directed us well. You would be lucky to share your day with them. Sunny chose a great place for lunch. Le Sapiniere. Wonderful woman owned restaurant with incredible food. Enjoy.

We had an amazing experience with our tour of Normandy and its historic sites. Our driver arrived at the port exactly as scheduled and we proceeded to Normandy where we picked up our expert guide, Sophia. She was incredibly knowledgeable and was a delight to spend the day with. She gave us as much information as we needed but never more than we wanted. She was flexible and made adjustments to our itinerary as the day unfolded. Definitely recommend this tour for anyone who want to visit Normandy in style.

Our guide did a superb job! She was so kind, caring, knowledgeable, and organized. She also provided a tremendous number of visual aids from her extremely detailed guidebook she had assembled. She even tracked down the military service records of the grandfather of a person in our small group that had died in the battle for Normandy in 1944 a few days after the D-Day invasion. I have never seen a guide so personable, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable in their presentation and so ready and willing to answer any and all questions. FANTASTIC JOB!!!

Had a great tour and day. Prompt pick up from our driver. So glad we booked the optional guide. Eliza was wonderful and made the day extra special. All kinds of great historical information as we toured Point du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the cemetery. We even had extra time and she showed us around her town of Bayeux with the cathedral and bakeries etc. We had a wonderful day and would highly recommend this over huge tour buses. Would book again with them next time we come.

We loved everything about this tour! The vehicle was clean and provided bottled water. The tour guide, Ann was very knowledgeable and passionate about DDay and the soldiers who gave their lives for freedom. She really made this a great excursion for us. It was less expensive and they got us back to the ship 1 1/2 hours before the ship excursion and 2 1/2 hours before all aboard time. Private tours are the way to go!!

Great excursion from the LeHarve cruise port! Thierry picked us up and drove 90 minutes to get our guide Adrian. We spent over 5 hours in the area and Adrian shared his wealth of knowledge. He made sure we saw all of the important sights in our limited time (would love to come back and explore more). Highly recommend Adrian and his driver!!
